Jesus - The Arcade Game

Post by Pater Alf »

I hope nobody is offended in his religious feelings by opening this thread...

This game is a typical arcade game. The style is very similar to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". You play god´s son himself and have to fight evil enemies like members of the Klu-Klux-Klan, devils or zombies on a graveyard. Your only weapon is a club made of the holy crucifix. And sometimes god himself will come down from heaven to destroy all your enemies...

A small demo is out featuring two different locations and four types of enemies. I hope to see more of this soon.

I would love to see this game finished. Of course it could bring some uproar, but I think most people will enjoy the humour in the concept.

While I am a spiritual person myself, I am certainly not offended by this game at all. I fact, I see it as a way to get kids interested in Christ.

Anyway, I hope to see this finished as well. I also have a friend who would probably like this game too.

I have tried to find out something aobut how far this game has gotten, but I cannot seem to find a specific development-site. I found Jason Ormes own site with lots of links but nothing about Jesus the arcade game anywhere...

Have you tried e-mailing him about it? His e-mail address is on his website and in his profile at Total Klik.. that's usually the best way to get some answers. If he doesn't answer, he may not currently be active in the community.

I can't confirm whether the author will take up development on this title again, however he has posted in a couple of forums recently confirming further development of his TMNT engine, which this is based on.
