Well, the warehouse needs windows too, and a door insert, and paint, in addition to a roof. I just took a bus trip to see a friend for about an hour. Had to get out of the apartment.

I ordered a few DVDs from amazon last week and they gave me a tracking number like they always do so I can follow the prgress of my delivery. They were suposed to be here on friday but they nevr showed up so I thought delayed post, Saturdays post shows up still no DVDs so I check the tracking and it said that I should have gotten them on friday. Nope I was in all friday and no DVDs with the post that did come. So I waited yesturday to see if they would show up and they didn't. So I checked my order on the amazon website and noticed that my postal code was one letter wrong...now this hasn't effected any of the deliveries that I have had in the past (and I have ordered a lot of stuff from amazon over the past couple of years I have lived here). Anyway Email amazonasked them what I could do to locate my package say that the post code is wrong but if this was such a big deal then nothing I ordered would have got here. Also to them that the postcode was for the street I used to live in and if they just went off the house number and the postecode it would have been delivered to the house next door to my parents and I had already talked to them to see if it was delivered there. They respond with...

yes this email was so bloody helpful wasn't it...I know that it has been dispatched already I wouldn't of wrote a lengthy email saying that I had checked with neighbours just incase it went to the wrong house, checked with the person who lives at where the postcode andhouse number directed, and walked for 45mins to get to the sorting office to see if it was there. For god sake do these people read the first line of the email and think they know what the question is that I have asked. Now I am willing to take resposablity for the postal code being a street out and that causing a problem, but to respond with that email and having the nerve to send an email that doesn't have anything to do with the question that I asked and only has something to do with the first 2 sentances of the email.

I hope everyone else is having a great day, I was going to start learning PHP today but then I ended up having to try and sort out the above problem. Sorry to bring the tone of this place down but I had to vent some steam before pressing no and explaining that what they wrote has nothing to do with what I asked, and that I would like a full respose to the question in which I asked...

Amazon DARED to upset you Dizi-honey - This means WAR

Now you just have 3 or 4 bottles of Malibu and give me the adress of their office while I consider the future actions to take; Would you rather that I'd break their bones or use my sonic weapons aka singing in can't carry a tune in a bucket, perhaps tampering their drinks also

What they have done is incredible, outrageous. I propose a boycott to Amazon at least until they sort out this problem. Sending an automated response for a problem that it's largely their fault is unprofessional and disrespectful to the clients.

Now puting that aside for a minute just tell me what can I do to make you feel better (Care to cry on my shouder?) and have you have followed any of my recomendations? ... or as someone used to say: How can I serve you, Milady

I agree with SG- the auto response crap is very unprofessional. I just don't know what to say- I'm taken aback by their unprofessionalism and because they upset a friend. Oh, well, I know some really big guys that can deal with them for you.

Now to get things a little more upbeat: I got my first leisure trip to Chicago tomorrow. Me and one of my friends who is a bus driver are going. He has a uniform voucher good at a shop downtown, and he asked if I wanted to come along with him for the ride. First non-business trip I've taken in a while. We're taking the train in, which is always fun, especially when you travel with good company.

Dizi, I had a similar experience with www.dabs.com recently when I tried to buy some PC Speakers and I found they were almost impossible to talk to. Basically, the parcel company failed to deliver the speakers parcel twice and sent them to the warehouse. The only thing was that my girlfriend was actually in at the time and I'd told her it should be coming. In our flat we've got like a door to the hall with buzzers on it and then our individual flat front doors. Clearly the delivery guy hadn't pressed that buzzer. This was one of those parcels that needed a signitature so they didn't leave it. I emailed dabs about this saying the ONLY OTHER TIME when either me or my girlfriend would be in was the following Monday - I need it delivered urgently!! About a week later I got an automated response thanking me for the email. But no actual response and still no sign of the speakers. I then managed to find a number for the parcel company - when I got through they were like "how did you find this number!!!" and they put me on hold for 45 minutes!!!!!!!!! When I finally spoke to someone they said I'd have to get dabs to agree to a re-delivery and they gave me someone's number at dabs. When I got through, the same thing - "How did you get this number!!! WE don't speak to customers! All customer-service is done online via email". I then sent a rather angry email to them saying that I'd gone over 3 weeks without any speakers and that I want a refund. The reply? An automated response "Thanks for your email". Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Talk about dealing with a faceless company. I don't think it's right for companys to hide behind the internet to avoid actually having any customer care. This experience has actually turned me off using dabs.com again and I ended up buying my speakers from PC World.

Seriously - what sort of company only deals with customers through automated emails?

It's hard to believe, but for once Parvini and I agree completely on the subject.

So it is settled, I appeal to every member of the site to boycott amazon (particulary amazon.uk) until they solve Dizi's problem in a satisfactory way to her.

That said anyone who will pursue this course of action is entitled to a barrel of their favourite drink for free

Thanks everyone. I got a reply from them that was addressed to me rather than customer this time, after I complained that that wasn't what I was asking about. I have to wait 2 weeks to see if it gets returned to them, if it doesn't then I don't have a clue what happens next as they didn't say...

Well the last thing I ever ordered of amazon came yesturday, I ordered it before these DVD and it was going to take 2/3 weeks to get here. Address had the same minor mistake on it and yet again it got here next day.

And thank RyM, I have your yahoo name (as you know

) and should I need someone to chat to I know where to find you. It was more they were DVD' s I have wanted for a long time and was looking foprwad to watching them last weekend, but these things happen and hopefully it will get solved quickly and no leave me out of pocket...even though it isn't that much money at the moment if I were to get them again at some point that would be double what they should be and that is a lot of money.

Well, I slept pretty well last night. Even managed to avod messign with the four Compaqs I got in too much (If I had started on them, I would have never gotten to sleep!). Some had Pentium IIIs in them even. Pretty cool. Cases are a little dirty, but that can be cleaned.

Anyway, I don't plan to look at them soon, I need a break from the work. A nice long break.

What I do need to do is clean my place up- there's stuff all over here. I'll ge to doing that today, I think.

Phew! I just got some furniture moved in my room, as it was rather poorly laid out (Made sense when I first placed it, but now everything has been hard to access, this just bothers me). I found a little end table in good condition by the trash, and am using it for a printer table.

Pretty worn out now, and am taking a break from cleaning. Glad I got that Gatorade yesterday Very refreshing.

Oh my god. I am a best man for my friend, who's getting married. I just came back from a bachelor party,,, I am really f*** pissed out.. How do I survive the yesterday??? Oh mighty oracle, please tell me... 3 times 24 bottles of beer and 1,5 litres of booze was reserved for our group of 6 person... I am really f*** pissed off.. I lost my ability to count alcohol portions somewhere near 12... It might br that the development attempts will be delayed with couple of days..

I hope I did not do too many typos... At least I fixed 25 typos in this post before subitting it :re:

Well, my break from computer work is officially over: I got a work order today, and the customer is supposed to pick me up in a few hours. And in a couple days, I got to install a network adapter in another customer's machine. Back to the dregs, I suppose.

Anyway, hope the wedding goes well, FM.

I see that you haven't met the pills from KGB to cure the hangover. You should try them (beware that they just prevent the hangover, they don't save you from alcoholic coma or death by intoxication)

That said, perhaps you want to stay in the dark room, designed to provide undisturbed rest for our foolish guests

Indeed, they did.The idea was to come up with something that would prevent them from becoming drunk but it didn't work. However they found out that the pills would enable the agents to feel as fresh as a letucce in the next morning, no matter how hey had drank.

Well, I survived. I admitt I had some symptoms, but not nearly as bad as I expected

We had fun, weddings were not cancelled and generally everything seems to be okay

Now I only need to get some sleep, and after a week I'll be fully recovered... (I hope

) Some good things happened... One of the great figures from the past promised to check my scripts to see if there is some real security holes

And I do also miss Darz presence

I admitt I haven't personally been too active on the forums.. It's just that I have not had anything important to say on current topics, and I've been spending my time trying to write the new site intead of posting my usual nonsense... Also watching football has stolen a lil bit of my time at evenings, but now when England and Brazil dropped, I have less interest towards the games :/

But now.. I'll go and grab my pillow & welcome the sandman...

OK, little question for you all, am I the only one who sometimes almost clicks the sumbit button when they want the smilies button? Just curious.

I think tonight I'll post another pic of that model warehouse. I'm cutting th windows today, and starting on a few more buildings too. Got the roof on, with some details (Vents, cyclone fans, and a smokestack).
