Remember to download the musicpack!

I liked the whole feel of Mario updated regarding graphics but still same gameplay. The menu-music was even the classic mario theme just taken down a notch in pace. Great idea. I felt invited back to an old friend.

Is it just me or is the game incredible hard to control???

I really had a hard time to time the jumps right and to use run and jump on my gamepad at the same time (the buttons are not where they should be). Is there any way to configure the gamepad inside the game?

Must have been blind when I asked if there is a way to configure my gamepad yesterday. It is right inside the options menu... :wondering:

"Secret Maryo Chronicles" can be controlled much better with a reconfigured gamepad. I like the game now as it has cute graphics and an amazing soundtrack with many references to the "Super Mario" series.

The gameplay is also very "Super Mario" like. Level design is ok But the game gets a bit too easy once you can shoot down enemies. As there is not a great variety of different enemy types it gets a bit repetitive after a while...:(

Editor is easy to use and I think most people will be able to create own levels with that tool. Only thing I couldn't figure out is how to play the levels you created. Can anybody tell me how to do it?

"Secret Maryo Chronicles" is available on CWF now. Please notice that music package is not included in the download file. You can get the game and the music package here:

I just tried to play the game- I have a 2.0 GHz Athlon XP CPU with 1 GB of DDR400 RAM and a 64 MB GeForce 4 series integrated video adapter. (I have a BioStar SFF machine for myself). Man was this game lagging!

But, I'll try the nVidia drivers for the GeForce 4 (I think I have M$ drivers installed, which VlakoSim doesn't like either), and let you all know what that does.

OK, just downloaded and installed the GeForce 4 MX drivers for my system. Secret Maryo Chronicles likes them even less. When I load the game, all I get is a sky blue screen. And it doesn't cache files when loading like it did before.

I'm so burnt out today, it's not even funny. I'm to the point where I can barely problemsolve this.

I just downloaded it off the developer's site, and will see if I still have the same problem I did before. I'll keep everyone updated, hopefully.

Can't think of any reasons why it should work with the files from developer's site if it didn't work with the files we have here. In fact these are the same files (only packed to spare some space)...

Read up a little ways, Pater. I had the old version, which didn't work on my SFF machine (Which I replaced with a 2.0 GHz desktop tower so I could put a bunch of SCSI hard drives in it).

Will see if 1.5 works, as opposed to an earlier version, is what I meant.

Sorry, I misunderstood...

Thought you wanted to try the developer's files instead the ones we have here, because you said you downloaded them from developer's site.

Anyway, if it works, please tell us your oppinion about the new version. I haven't tried it myself yet.

Btw, I think such udates should be announced on main page. Reworked blog/news if it is still planned would be best place for this.
