Dance 'Til You Drop!

Post by ProgZmax »

Dance 'Til You Drop! is an EGA style adventure game developed by Shane Stevens (me).

Story: It's the 80's, and you're that paragon of aerobics exercisers, Richard Simmons! All is not well on the money front as your agent notifies you that you're almost broke, and to top it off, a popular newspaper is sending someone to your dance class today to write a review, so mind your manners and get ready to Dance 'Til You Drop!

While I don't know much about Simmons (I do know who he is, and how he acts on TV, but nothing more) I will still go look at this game soon. Maybe we can pass it through our validation a little quicker...
I see you made more games...Will we see any of them in here?

Even if I'm not familiar with Richard Simmons it sounds like a funny story for a game. And following your link I saw that there is a version that includes a soundtrack full of 80s music.

Will go and download it right away...

P.S.: Welcome to our forums. It's always nice to see some developers in here. Hope you enjoy your stay!

A very humorous game. Not very pretty graphics, and there's only one room. Also i couldn't figure out the inventory system right away. However, the objective of having to make choices with what to say to people, and the positive or negative scores you get for that, makes this game a little more interesting. Overall, i think it's an OK game, but not something above average.

Being an American, I know exactly who Richard Simmons is. This sounds like a very interesting game!

I do like what Drasier describes as a 'choose your own adventure' type game with dialogue. Some times I have fun irking game characters. :-P

Anyway, Will download quick here and give it a go!

Not being an American I also know about Richard simmons, but mostly through satire about him and one very weird appearance on Letterman. :)
Letterman practically told him to get off his stage because he was too weird and intruding on his personal space....

He reminds me of that Danish person who grew up in Nibe in Denmark, and now has some kind of welness saloon or something in America. He also has that kind of feminine and very positive personality. Can't remember his name though.

BTW a little hint you could use some place in the game, if you're going for the highest score.

SPOILER below. Mark to read.
When you get the gun, don't use it on the robbers right away, try talking to them. If you use the gun, Richard will shoot them right away instead of giving them a chance to surrender!

You are thinking of Ole Henriksen. Or Ulla Henriksen as he is called for fun. Ulla is a girlsname and he pronounces Ole like that himself because of his accent.
