Eye of the Kraken

I can bet authors of EotK played "Cruise for a Corpse" in the past... Excellent game with great dialogues, plot and absolutely brilliant music.

From the site:

[WARNING : Since the game's release, a compatibility problem has arisen on some systems with newer NVIDIA driver versions. The symptom is a crash back to Windows after a few seconds of execution. To solve this problem, go to Windows' display properties, in the "settings" tab, click on "advanced", then, in the "troubleshoot" tab, slide the hardware acceleration down.]

This game was a bit too obscure for me, and I completed Cruise for a Corpse... The graphic style is one you either like or hate, and I must confess to not being too thrilled about it. Also, the game doesn't exactly suffer from logical set peices (see the first screenshot fx)...

I was intregued by this game too. The music had me glued to the game from the first moment. The story seemed good, and the graphics I like. I haven't played it to the end yet, but decided to vote.
I think the humour could have been given a notch up, since it seemed to be trying places while failing if you ask me. I would rather have been without the funny stuff then.

Since I haven't finished it I do not know how much playtime is involved, but according to the walkthrough there isn't much more than what I have already played. But that was still an ok length. I hope there will be a sequel.

Absurdus released their long awaited game Carte Blanche. Fantastic looks of it, but unfortunately for us freeloaders it is commercial and thus you have to pay for it.
you can see the screenies of it here:

Now all we have to see is how long we have to wait for that to become freeware. :)

Check this thread in 2014 and believe me - it will be freeware. :)
