It will knock you out so that you'll lose your memory + will have terrible headache next morning, change all your paper money to coins, fill your pockets with receipts from various pubs/nightclubs, and finally pee into your mouth so that you'll taste it when you wake up. Naturally this may also upset your stomach..
I just want to tell you that I was careful and so the evil drunk genie didn´t get me that weekend. I think he was near on friday night, but I saw him coming and sent him to a friend of mine...

I simply had to share this with the rest of you (I wrote it in the GH-forum, but decided to paste it here).

Anna slept in her bed in her room for the first time tonight (instead of in her crip next to our bed). So now I can use my computer after dinner too. Our computer is in our bedroom, so when Anna goes to sleep we turn of the computer for the day.

Pasted:
I have to admit I was going crazy with not being able to go in and sit by the computer when my GF wanted to see some girly program. There have been very few things on that are of my liking (I like CSI, Bones, Numbers and stuff like that, in the evening) when I was able to watch TV. All the mentioned programmes have been on, but at the same time that I am putting Anna down, which means I will either miss the nd or the beginning of the programme.
Then afterwards I can come back in and watch some girly things like Gilmore girls, Susannah and Trinny teaches ugly old women to dress sexy (YUCK by the way), Bridezilla shows, and the Bachelor-stuff. I might have to go shoot myself, when I from time to time have gotten so deep into stuff that I could say stuff like "That kaftan really makes a difference in her appearance", or " she should be wearing something cut askew so her legs will seem longer" or" Why doesn't Lorelai see that Luke is really the guy for her, and not that Christopher-guy", or even "Why did he give her a rose - doesn't he see how she plays him around"... I think you get the picture of how happy I am to get back to my PC!

Gilmore Girls is the worst show in the world...ever...

The dialogue in that show just deosn't flow. It's less or more like they've tried to make the show so enjoyable or attempting to be funny, that it seems like instead of the characters interacting with each other, they're talking at each other.

I feel your pain C...I had to watch that show to spend "quality" time with a girl back in university...I decided "quality" time sucked and used to go home and play Diablo 2, so that ended that right there.

One of my (male) friends lent me six seasons of "Charmed"... I gave it a chance... I really did... I watched three whole damn episodes! Never again, never, never, never, never, never. Now I just need to return the crap to him some day. But for some reason it doesn't seem like he's missing them...

Ok, I got kicked in the nuts by karma yesterday. I had just complained about Tanja and her back and how much she didn't notice my bad back in the complaint thread Maz made, and what do you know. One day after Tanja suddently comes weezing in telling me that her back hurts and she has trouble breathing. We had to call an ambulance and drive her to the E.R.
Me and Anna followed in our car, and we spent all day down there, while Tanja got her wind back and got some heavy pain killers, which by the way means that we have to start Anna on breatmilk substitute, since the morphine Tanja got is too heavy duty to breatfeed on.
Anna is not used to getting food from her dad, so that was rather horrifying. She screamed for like an hour straight, and all worn out, I could force her to eat, and then she started eating on her own accord. This kind of thing takes a LOT off of your nerves, and really just breaks ones heart. But we got through, and Tanja is easing up, though she is still feeling like crap.
It turns out that she (besides her bad back) had an allergic reaction to the painkillers she was getting. This was what caused her to throw up and feel dizzy, and then the back took fault for the breathing problems.
Anna slept through most of the night thankfully, so I could get something like 4-5 hours of sleep. I will be amazed if I get anythingdone in here today, but I hope to get a quiet moment later today.
It also seems that this will be my post number 3500, so substitute breatsmilk for everybody, on my tab of course.

Well, that doesn´t sound too funny... :(

I hope that Tanja is back on her feet very soon!

P.S.: I take a beer instead of the substitute breastmilk.

Actually that sounds terrible :( I know how it feels to be forced to do something which terrifies own child... On the otherhand, if Anna learned to be feed by someone else than her mum... That skill is really needed. Othervice mom will be tied to the child with a bit too tight bondage. It really gets on nerves to be forced to be unable to go anywhere without child for longer than the feeding 'delays' are. No matter how much one enjoys being with the child. My own experience is that getting to do something completely different at times makes you better parent. You'll be in better mood, which naturally is reflected on your behaviour with the child too. After all, we are all just humans - and as such, we do have our own feelings. It would be unnatural if some of the feelings weren't negative :)

Oh boy, this is turning to be a child growing forum instead of freeware forum :D

Wow, Chroelle, that sounds horrifying indeed. But, hopefully everything is OK now, right?

Just hooked up a 19" CRT to my computer- now the limitations of onboard video are really starting to show! I keep getting what appears to be some sort of wavyness here and there. You know how if you look down the road on a hot day, you can see the heat come off it and distort the horizion? That sort of thing. I'm pretty sure it's the video adapter, as my old 15" did the same thing, but it was hardly noticable.

C, that sounds terrible...and yes, karma did hoof you one in the nards.
Hope Tanja is feeling better. and don't worry 'bout the substitute breastmilk, when I was growing up I never had breastmilk, it was all substitute...so I'll relive old times and will take you up on that substitute breastmilk...yummy!

@RWM: Do you have any electronic devices near your computer monitor? I get those hot day effects on my monitor when I try to play games and use my electric toothbrush at the same time.

I would just like to say that I survived the weekend. It always seems that I get caught doing something dumb that always affects my safety. This weekend was no different. I almost broke my neck friday night after getting my foot stuck in a 10-foot high rusty fence next to the freeway.

Then sunday I was rolling down a big hill with my little cousins at a family gathering. I had gained a lot of speed and ended up smashing my face off of some big dog's arse. That was like hitting a brick wall. It completely stopped me dead. I think my aunt video taped it.

Does Canada have a sistershow like Americas funniest videos?

Thanks for the thoughts everybody. Tanja is feeling better, and she can breatfeed again with no problems (besides that after 5 minutes time it starts to hurt her back.) I have been hanging vertical to get things done around here, with a kiddo on the arm. BTW guys - if you ever see a mom standing with aa kid on the arm trying to reach the milk in the cooler at the store, give her a hand. That is extremely hard.

And Maz, I actually thought about opening a thread about raising kiddos, but I think the other guys in here should hear about the good things and the bad things about having kids.

Are you self-censoring, or do you just have trouble with the "s" in "breast"? Or have human females evolved a new organ/appendage while I was looking the other way?

@Pager:

I put a 64 MB GeForce 4 in my machine, and that did fix the issue. My onboard graphics was a SiS 650 series chipset.

Now I hooked up a KVM switch so I can run my machine and one other off this same monitor. The KVM has an issue. If I tap it, the monitor takes a green tint. I know what that is: There is a bad connection in there somewhere. The KVM is unpowered and uses a rotary dial to switch between computers. I've got a four port powered Belkin that I know works, but I don't like how much desk space it takes.

Hey, now it's doing a blue tint! Hmmmmm.... KVM's on viagra?

Ok, first of all, has it been too long since you had a woman if they reached the next step of evolution in the meantime...? :D

No, it seems I can add yet another typo to my others. JEg, Dansih and the rest...

And a belated Happy B-day Dotty. :D I hope you had a great day!

And I can also add that Tanja seems to be feeling better today, so I hope that means I can get some work done in here thursday, since we are going away for the weekend...

Oh, my, where are my manners? Happy birthday, Dot!

Got the other 4-port KVM on, and everything is fine now.

Now I got about 250 trees to assemble for my model railroad. It's actually very relaxing. Build about 10-20 per evening, and it's a nice long term hobby project. Usually I let them dry overnight, then glue them to the layout tabletop just before going on my morning bus joyride with my friend Rob who is a driver for Pace.

Anyone know what's up with OG? Haven't been able to get on to it lately.
