Ghostbusters II

Post by Pater Alf »

A remake of the old game "Ghostbusters II" (which was published for Amiga, Atari ST and C64 when I remember right).

The game follows three main sequences of the movie and so there are three levels to play:
First level takes place in the sewers where you have to collect some slime samples (which isn´t too easy because you are attacked by ghosts all the time).
In level 2 you play the Statue of Liberty and use your flame to get rid of lots of evil creatures while you´re on your way to the museum.
In level 3 you are inside the museum and have to fight against Vigo the Carpathian to rescue the baby of Dana Barrett.

Game is quite hard (especially level one), but as there is an option to skip levels there won´t be too much frustration.

Game is available for Windows and Linux

I don't think I ever got past level 2... maybe it's time to try again.

Funny! I always thought level 2 was the easiest part of the game and had much more problems with level 1 and level 3...

But as said before: There is an option to skip the levels, so every gamer should be able to see all three of them and end of the game as well.

I admit it's been maybe 20 years, so my memory is a little rusty. ;)

I think I was stuck at level 2 too. But again....20 years....

I have to say this looks awesome. I will have to try this one out. Is it the same guy who did Ghostbusters (1)?

No, "Ghostbusters Remake" was made by Scottige and Smila (who are currently working on a remake of "Dan Dare").
