Great top-down shooter with adventure elements. Far cry from poor Alien Breed clones.

Can anybody give me some hints how to survive longer than a few minutes? I play as a human on easy difficulty, but everytime I have to fight more than one alien the same time I die :(. I don´t even get the chance to build a gun or a working generator. What can I do?

Ok, first of you should follow the same strategy that I did. Kill the eunuc, that greets you and wants something from you... That should leave you with the things needed for a radio... And you wont get anything really useful information from him, only a key, and well....you can take that from him afterwards...
I cant find the things needed for agun either... Did you find his gun outside of his hut?
Honestly, I have never been close to dying in this game on easylevel. I could not however find the things needed to combine stuff. I found lots of things, but nothing really useful. It seems to me that the game is really hard on this point. I think you need to play it for awhile o get the hang of it...

Ok, at least I found a strategy that prevents me from dying: Running away! :D

But damn, this game is really hard! I played for two hours now and I´m still at the beginning, have found a lot of useless stuff and nearly nothing useful. I don´t even have a gun yet.

But it is fun and thrilling (the sound send shivers down my spine) and so I will go on...

Let me know if you figure out how to assemble the gun, but remember SPOILER WARNING before the info.

Spoiler Warning!

Two ways I found to create a gun-like thing:

1. Combine an "energy unit" (fuel converter + fuel cell) with a "particle accelerator". Doing this you get a "powered particle accelerator". Now combine this with a "long metal rod" and you´ll get a "pebble shotgun". Of course you need pebbles to use it, but there are enough of them.

It´s a good weapon because it has a medium range and doesn´t need any energy. Unfortunately you need both hands to handle it, so you can´t use it at night when you´re using the flashlight.

2. Combine a "fuel cell" with a "powered particle accelerator" and there will be a "radiator".

I don´t like this weapon too much, because it has just a short range and needs energy everytime you use it. But you can use it with one hand, so it´s also usable at night.

End of spoiler!

Spoiler Warning!

Just walk around and collect all the items you can get. Sooner or later you will find one. I think it´s one of the items that is generated by the computer by pure chance.
But the best place to find them is the location called "Ship cementary". I found several of them there (you can have some of mine, I don´t think I need them all ;)).

End of spoiler!

This game is sweet! I prefer playing as human, but I haven't put in a lot of time with the other races. Trying to make the best of a ship crash on an alien planet is wonderful survival fun. Now, I just need to keep my Health from dropping below 20 all the time...

The game is rather large and timeconsuming. That being said it is also rather fun and binding. You find yourself searching huge areas during night just to find that last component. I haven't completed the game yet, but it seems great to me, and the one thing that draws down for me isn't going to be changed in the last part of the game... There are far too many items to combine in far too many ways for me to find it funny. I think some might find this a bonus, but I just found it confusing. Huge explanations of what this specific item could be change into combined with another item that sounded alot like the one you just picked up, but before it can be of any use combining with the first unit it has to be combined with another unit that you cant find and then suplied with power that you keep running out of, becuase the modded radio that you use to find the item you need needs alot fo power, and the thing you are looking for supplies you with power...Confused...So was I.
BUT STILL - Go play this game! It has an amazing atmosphere, and there is no doubt I will return to it one day soon.

I had to give up on it, as it becomes really, really, really, intensely, impossibly hard when you get further into the game. Like, enemies multi-multi-multi spawning on your ass and draining your health in 2 seconds. A shame as I was having such a good time, but there was no way to survive this.
