Here you can talk about anything (that isn't related to the other forums).

Oldest photo of your computer (or you playing a retro game)

Inspired by recent photo from Predseda

from this topic

and not waiting for the answer if the photo is actually of his room, I decided to start this topic.

In times of blogs, vlogs, webforums, YouTube videos, the photo I want to show you is quite original imho. I am not sure, but I believe most retro scene gamers have plenty of photos and videos from internet times when content-sharing culture had begun to arise. No-one really photographed her/himself back then - for what purpose, after all?

The below photo comes from 1992 or 1993 I believe. The story behind it is mysterious - either my teen-aged meself asked my mother to make a photo of me playing games just for the sake of having been imortialized or it was made, because I'd already known that the computer will be sold (it was sold in 1993).

Originally, I wanted to write "this is me playing...", but I want you to guess which game I am playing. 8)

The photo is fun for other reason too - it shows the typical postsocialist design of rural Polish house - with its paint roller wall ornament, messy choice of furniture (I had no monitor, so the small table you see with no space for knees - I had to set it up every time my mum allowed me to play games) and me wearing casual clothes.

This is my way of saying Merry Christmas to everyone here. Share your photos if you like. 8)
