Truly one of the best freeware adventure games ever made with fantastic graphics and loads of humour.

Don't be afraid. I can vote for games and I will definitly vote for this one (as I have tried it some time ago and it's simply a great piece of work). So I think there will be a good chance to get it on the page .

This is an oldie now. Five years and counting.
I wonder how old modern freeware game should be to be called "oldie"?
One of the best freeware pnc adventure game I played, I doubt that it could be fully commercial product, but it's definitely close.
Graphics is ok, but cartoonish animations and high-resolution backgrounds not always work good together. Great music creates weird and spooky atmosphere. Puzzles are top-notch. Got stuck a couple of times. They remind me of best Lucasarts puzzles, however they're not simply copied. Some of them are quite ingenious.
This game looks a bit different from majority of freeware adventures and it IS different since was made with SLUDGE - lesser known game creation engine.

I think it is a gem. I had fun playing through most of it, and the puzzles have an ok difficulty, while the humor is more suttle and less outspoken than other games (at times).
Hard to say anything against this game (that hasn't been said).
We have been trying to get permission for ages on this game, but I get no feedback from the developer on my mails. I hope he will say it is ok soon.

A mail...Try threePater Alf wrote:Good luck! I think everyone of us wrote him a mail by now.
I would have taken permission myself if it wasn't because he has an active site where the game is displayed...

Re: Out of Order
And it took only four years to get it...
Is there anything left to achieve? Or should we take CWF down now?

Re: Out of Order
Great. I downloaded the game again after so many years, hoping to make some progress and - surprise - I did! Following this personal success I wanted to remind you all that maybe it's time to get permission for hosting the game again, after so many tries, and - another surprise - game is available from CWF for almost two years. Nobody tells me of anything.

Re: Out of Order
I am sorry. I should have posted it on the forum or something...
I still think of this as one of my big successes in getting permission. It took me such a long time to get a hold of the developer, and then it took a lot of patience to wait it out, and a lot of joy to get the news that it was ok for us to host.

Re: Out of Order
I always thought why this game is so unique and finally it got to me that it is (PROBABLY) the only existing representant of a subgenre "cartoony cyberpunk". It mixes two kinds of music: merry and depressing with two kinds of locations: funny/colourful and industrial. So in fact it mixes everything with everything what adds up to the overall feeling of oddity and things being "out of order". Was it deliberate action is debatable of course...but somehow it works.

Re: Out of Order
I have advanced heavily in the game and I am close to finishing it. I think. Loose ends tie up. Pleasure of being immersed forever in game's environment slowly dies.
It's still one of my favourite pnc adventure games, regardless of engine used, type of release, setting etc. I variously place it within 10 or 12 best adventure games created, despite the flaws. It's just so perfectly balanced between amateurishness and professionalism, in all terms: puzzles, dialogues, characters. It's one of the defining pieces of software.
