Some simple sites I made...

Post by Shadowlord »

I did some sites for "private customers" and companies around me. Most of them 're low-tech sites. No flash or something like that. Only animated gifs. Only problem is: They're in german...
Hope it's okay for you.

I worked a time for this company and did two sites for them. The first for normal customers, the other one for business partners.

A site with simple design for a "private customer". They let a flat for holidays.

Some more sites 're on the way.

It looks fine to me :) Although I generally dislike frames... (it's my personal opinion)
No frameless version available? Well, nowadays no one else except me uses browser not supporting frames... :D (Well, I do not usually do that either, but sometimes I just love the nostalgy of good old Lynx :D )

Thank you. Sorry, no frameless version available. Many people don't like frames.... But it's easy to work with them... ;)

I find frames the worst thing to work with... they are not user friendly and if not done correctly thy can make a page look a mess. But they are clean designs...one thing I will mention though as I hate frames, on http://www.onlinenc.de/ the top frame can scroll down a little my guess is because you have set the height bigger on the page then you gave it on the frame...you probably set no scrolling in your HTML for the frame but there is still away to scroll on the page...I know its not that big of a deal but just one of the reasons why I don't like frames :p

Also another thing you should think of doing is working in pixles rather than percentages when dealing with the sizes of tables, as with no scrolling on the top frame when you reduce the size you lose some of your picture. I know its easier to work with a percent so that it is a little easier to design a site that will strech for resolutions, but what is the point in doing this if some resolutions will loose some of your top frame? So think about that as well

I'm sorry for the negatives but I'm a designer so its part of my job to pick up on things that aren't user friendly and create problems within the design of something.

You don't have to be sorry. It's okay. Only words with background can bring someone forward.
The site "OnlineNC" was done in a few hours... I'm not working more for the ONLINE Company and that NC site was designed for their business customers like Airbus or Mercedes. The people there which look on the NC site 're working with a min resolution of 1280x1024. And with this resolution it worked good. :D
I did this site on my last days in that company... ;)

EDIT: http://www.landhaus-am-siel.de. Small site about a house where you can rent holiday-flats. Done in a few hours...
