How about a massive multiplayer rpg game where one person controls the hero while thousands of other players control enemies?

How about a classic style shooty platform game where the player has an old style 6-bullet revolver, but only earns 6 new bullets at the end of each level, and there's never any pickups!

How about a realtime strategy game using Chess pieces?

*cough*

Always wanted to do that game, but 2 things stopped me..
1. I'm rubbish at art.. (sprites in the above shot stolen from Ultima Online!)
2. It needs one heck of a good AI system.. eek!

How about a mm online Sims-clone game where everybody is connected to server via special, "AI", gamepads and goggles which suck players' visions and emotions and automagically create the corresponding "actions" out of these?

How about a game where you play the role of a god, and you have to create sims, and see them interact without having any say except that you gave them personality traits. Now its all up to them (AI) to play it out.

How about a game where you play realtime and have to do a racing career. So if you are not online when the race starts - well then you finish last.

I'd be rubbish at that ;)

How about a maze game (Sokoban style) where you see 4 little mazes, each using 1/4 of the screen, and each containing it's own little player.
But only one set of controls.
The player needs to attempt all 4 simultaneously, without messing up the others!

Something similar was made a while ago (not with mazes, but with the four games at once concept):

That wouldn't be a very good game!!! (blank screen, type, type, doodle sprite, type, coffee, add sounds, eat, type, type, sleep, win award, type, type, another sprite, coffee!)

How about a game where the player has a task laid out, right at the start, but after about 2 minutes, the player finds his old Gameboy Color and ends up playing Tetris for a few hours.

How about an educational/adventure/sim/economy game where you are a parent and you try to grow your kid in the best way possible, fighting economical, environmental and culture problems?

How about a game where you had to play different levels of old classics as you passed through levels in the game you were playing. First level you play as Prince of Persia, next you are hunted by evil ghosts eating pellets, only to find yourself sailing the seven seas robbing harbor towns like Kaper or Pirates!

You remember the first rule of the topic I hope? :D

How about a real-time rpg game where you dont start from scratch - no money, no skills etc. and you're not a villager facing your fate, but you are already a skilled and wealthy hero and battles' outcome depends on player's skill, not "experience".

How about a huge pinball game (or coin-based machine) played on the world map where you score most points, bonuses etc. hitting your most hatred countries. There are various versions for leftists, rightists, Muslims, Catholics etc.

How about a mmorpg game where each account must be obligatorily divided into five real-life persons (in other words: a team) and the online character's behaviour is based on the team's real-life agreement what actions should be taken?

How about a game with 5 different platform characters, each with their own unique physics and playstyles. At the start of the game you pick the order of the 5, then each time one of them dies, you move onto the next. No extra lives. See how far you can get!
