Tinoco,
The slaves at CWF are the best treated slaves in existence me thinks.
Ogre re-considers that a sex slave would be better, but says nothing due to lack of experience in this field. :( ;)

RM,
I currently have an old Pentium II running at 233Mhz with 256Mb ram....and Win XP pro (which it is handling OK, but slow).

It has been a great reliable PC, but well overdue for retirement.

Soon I will have a PC that measures its processing speed in GigaHertz, and I will rejoice. No longer will I have to stare at the World of Warcraft index page and dream of the glory that lies beyond my reach.

I am upgrading over the weekend from my amd machine running at 2.00Ghz with 512 meg to 3.6Ghz Pentium with 1.5 gigabytes of ram. Best thing is my friend is nearly giving it away to me: 400 gig of hdd space, dvd burner and high end graphic controller all included.

Ogre, do you have adsl up there or still on dialup?

Ogre reads mrgreen's post with envy. :)

I am currently still on dial up, but as ADSL is now available in my town, I will be changing over when I upgrade my PC.

I had a computer like yours about 6 years ago. One day I added a cd-rom but forgot to change it to slave. While the computer was running I pulled out the ide and power to the cd-rom. When I plugged it back in I got a shock and the power supply died. I ended up having to replace the power supply (which is a real pain on old at form cases) but I got it working again. It never looked the same because the switch on the power supply i put in didn't fit the case I installed it in so I just hung it out the back of the case. You know, I still have it and it still works.

You know, I live 20 minutes drive from the CBD and we still can't get ADSL or cable broadband. What is the point of having such a fast computer if you are stuck with 56 kbps? You only need a new computer to get broadband - I need a new house! <eyes turn green>

That is amazing.

Mission Beach (where I live) has a population of a couple of thousand max. You can hardly get any mobile phone reception, but ADSL is available. Go figure?

Do you live in one of the recently developed suburbs?
It seems strange that you don't have it yet considering your proximity to the metro area.

Maybe you should move to the tropics mate...the beaches are great this time of year. ;)

Darra would be at least 50 years old. I think it has to do with distance from the telephone exchange. Even though there is an exchange 1km up the road we are connected to wacol exchange 5-6km in the opposite direction.

I like the winter and prefer bush to beach. You know I live 20 min from Brisbane along the Centenary Hwy. Our house backs on to some bushland and kangaroos are routinely sitting in my driveway when I get home. If only I had broadband it would be perfect!

Sorry about this, but I am only getting it because my friend just upgraded to pentium 64bit 3.2Ghz Dual Core with 3Gig of ram and 600 gig hd space - 2 x dvd burners and whatever else you could want. He said how much do you want for my old computer and I said something as a joke and he says 'okay'. I was gobsmacked.

Well, I got myself an AMD Sempron @ 1.8 Ghz, 1.5 GB of PC3200 DDR RAM, a Combo drive, a DVD ROM drive, a 40 GB IDE drive, a 250 GB IDE drive, a 500 GB SATA drive, two 40 GB SCSI drives (I am big into storage!) a SB Audigy card, an ATI Radeon 9250 256 MB AGP card, and, and a 500 watt power supply to power all this.

Oh, and I want to put a SCSI zip drive in soon.

I like my machine.

I woke up early today myself, around 6:30. I still got my parents' cat. Her food bowl was empty, and she woke me up so that I could refill it.

Oh well, at least it's turning out to be one of those days where I 'get more done before 10 AM than most people do all day'

I think I'll join you, it should be a new rank for me too. :)

I just like coffee myself. The landlord makes a good cup, I join him a couple days a week usually, for cofee and donuts. Nice guy.

ROFLOL We would have thought that Baldie and me would be on the same side :P :D  8) :haha:

Dear memebers of the community, I believe an explanation is in order due to the most recent events.

ZI/Wogglus, like Parvini, is an lawfil evil, dictator wannabe, who thinks that if he tries hard enough he may succeed at his goals

The Bald One is a lawful evil Veteran Dictator who truely despises any competetion to his power and believes that any threat should be dealt with swiftly

Pitkin is a Chaotic bloke, usually good who loves Zodiac, Tea, Anime, Green Balloons, Japanase, StoryTelling and who makes The Bald one and many of the other members go completely Haywire with his habits and preferences

Prideth is a Neutral Good Character, who loves Carebears, StoryTelling and is the All-Mighty Dragon Tamer, do not cross her or any of her allies unless you want to end as a Dragon Snack

Lord Varnus is The Lord of Neutrality and even if he's been slacking of at work he still deserves respect.

Dizi is The lawful good All-Diplomatic Lady of Neutrality and is under the protection of nearly everybody including me, so if you want to harm her or upst her your days are numbered. Offer her Malibu whenever you can and don't spam if you want to be in her good graces, for her has the All-Mighty ability of convince others not to be too harsh with thou, even if you deserved it.

Finaly Me, SGSW, The All-Powerful, Mighty, OmniPotent & Omniscient Enforcer of Neutrality, The One who has Ascended and therefore superior to feeble mortals, Owner of this Marvellous Bar, I am the one who trashes one side now and then to make sure that the balance is mainained and the order who better suits my needs and the ones of a relatively and most humourous status is not broken.

Now that everything is explained I will tell you how things lie at the current situation. The Bald one and his allies will Battle ZI/Wogglus and his SOSM till they exhaust their forces. I will sit and watch and intervene after I see the evolution of the conflict.
