But I still have them then. All I need to do is figure out how to input them in the database (and even more important - where).

I am gonna try and say this as nonchallant as possible.
Erhm...I fixed the problem with Freecol, Garfield and Glace. ...

I AM THE NEW EDITING TOOL!!!!!!!!!!!! MUHAHAHAHA (Dammit it got the best of me.)

I have now learned how to edit pretty much all the info on the game-info screens, and feel pretty good about it.
Let me know if there are any things that need changing. Typos etc.

I haven't figured out how to correct screenies yet though. And 7-zip archiver had an issue too that I corrected.

And now I learned that. I do not however know how to add screenies. But I can correct links and such. :D

EDIT: Heck I think I even learned how to add genres.
I am learning new stuff by the minute here. This is great. But I can only correct current stuff. I cannot add new stuff. Only if it is supposed to be exactly like something that already exist.

Ok, just a few things that needed to be edited most urgent:

1. Can you remove the dead download links (I deactivated the links of the old versions) for the following games: Alien Arena 2007, Battle for Wesnoth, Blip & Blop, Freecol and Scorced (Win and Linux)? There's also a file that is no longer needed for TAGAP (upgrade to version 1.3).

2. Warzone 2100: There's a typo in the name of the game. I forgot the space between Warzone and 2100. I also posted the same screenshot twice (another one is uploaded).

3. No Gravity: One of the screenshots is posted twice. Also I would like it better if the name of the game would've been written in capital letters (No Gravity instead of No gravity). And there are two typos in the description (symplya, gamelay).

Enough for now. Thank you!

Beware when modifying the structure of the tables C. (Also beware adding totally new rows). It *may* make some part of the site to malfunct, because some of the actions when data is inserted/deleted may assume that some columd in the table comes instantly after another, or that there is only X columns in a table.

But as long as you track your changes (write them up), you can experiment. (We can later remove the changes if they mess things up).

Oh, but I wont add tables yet. Not without you at my side. And I will only change text in descriptions and links, which is pretty much the same thing. I will get these edits done by tomorrow. PA could you maybe PM me the right adress for the downloads (Your point 1), so I dont go and remove the wrong ones. I am not sure I can remove the update file without getting into trouble. Can I Maz?

I will see what I can do with the other two points you had. Thanks for telling.

You don't need a right adress for the non-working links. They are not needed any longer. They linked to old files that had a version number in their name. So when the edit tool broke I wasn't able to update these files using the old names (wouldn't make sense to have a file that is called Freecol6.09 when it's in fact version 7.01 for example). I added new files with the actual version and simply deleted the old files which means the download links point to nowhere now and can be deleted. Simply the same as for the TAGAP file that is no longer needed. No idea if you can do that...

Got everything but: Ded downloadlinks removed, and changed No gravity screenshot (I uploaded another one with correct name, but it should show right and it isn't... Any ideas Maz? It is set to show Nograv2.PNG as its second screenie and as I have replaced that with a new Nograv2.PNG then it should show, and it is still showing the old one (which is identical to Nogarv3.PNG).

Mmm.... Perhaps cleaning cache helps? (And are you sure you did not update the 'small' image link, but the real image link?)

And only way to remove old files is the hard way... I think it would be easier to let them (the old DL versions) be there with a note that they're old. If we're running out of space, then we should remove the old versions... (By removing every entry from all related tables)...

Is that my cache or a databse cache?

How can we make a note saying that they are old? (I think people can figure out for themselves that they should download the one with the highest number, but anyways (for a smoother look...).

Any idea if I can correct links without it interfering. As in I can redirect the link to the files. So that Game v.1.0 link will point to game v1.1 without any trouble... I am not sure that was clear at all...

cache from the server (as cache folder, not from database). Also emptying browser's cache may have an impact :)

Oh, and the field in which the verrsion number is can be abused ;)

So what should I do?
I am not sure I fully understand. Remember I am a total newbie at database-handling.

There is a folder called cache at surftown server, under the forum.connect-webdesign.dk/

You can try clearing the image/page from there

Oh I meant with the line that could be abused... I will clean out the cache though. Should I clean it fully or just that particular image...?

EDIT: Couldn't find a file like that in the cache...

It certainly looks better now than before! Only problem I can see is - How will we get this working when when there is 10 more interviews. (Trust me - there will be shortly.)
I am considering doing an interview week, where I interview like 5 different developers. I have no doubt I can get that done.
And - GOOD JOB :D

And that is cool, and should stay that way, but should it simply be a list of gamenames (or developernames) that works as links.
It should then be in this form:
- Developername1 (Regarding game1)
- Developername2 (Regarding game1)
- Developername1 (Regarding game2)
- Developername3 (Regarding game1)

Where the developer can be interviewed about different games.

If we get developersites done at some point, then we could also link to the interviews with them from that site.
I would be happy to draw up the info needed for developersites if you want - or if you dont know what I mean.
