Nice day outside here, I just needed a long sleeve shirt and my usual wool fedora, no coat. Was real windy the past few though.
Power supply blew on my Sempron system, so I replaced that this morning, a real pain to reconnect everything.

I was pretty excited too when I saw that there had been 24 posts since my last visit. The last couple of days it had been below ten... But then again I was home sick, so I propably visited more often...

Yay, some action around here, you all can have a beer on me!
Sorry to hear about the flooding, this is actualy the first I heard of it. I used to live along the Mississippi River, in Iowa, and it would flood very bad there once every few years (They even made a SimCity2000 scenario about it, in my hometown of Davenport)
My sister just got back from a class trip to Europe and brought me some Marklin, I'll have to create a hobby picture thread and put a picture of it there.

Actually you can put pictures in your gallery. This is an easy way to attach lots of pictures about something. I think I am the only one using it, but I have a picture of myself in there, just for testing purposes...
But check it out and see if you can use it.
EDIT: And hi Splash. I missed your post in the first reading, but glad to see you and hope to see you more.

Sorry in advance, for posting something like the following in the Bar, but I just need to 'say this aloud' somewhere. As I won't give any details, it might sound just stupid or headless, but this little post is important to me.
Someone very dear to me has just yesterday (her time) finally gone ahead and begun working towards the final solution in an issue that had been torturing her for years and years before. It will no doubt be a difficult path for everyone involved, but in the end it will hopefully bring happiness to herself and the people closest to her.
I'd just like to remind people of the perennial truth not everything is how they look like at first sight. I care a great deal about this person and cannot stop myself from worrying how everything might turn out in the end.
No one was meant to be alone forever. No one was meant to be unhappy or sad.
Again, sorry for posting something perhaps ridiculous in here. I don't even know how she would feel about me doing this, but I cannot help it. I feel almost like crying of worry, but happy at the same time.

Ok that sounded a bit secretive... I guess you meant it to be.
But I wish the person luck and hope that this will bring something better than was, as I understand the post.

It seems fine by me. Anyway I wish you and your person good luck ... just to straighten things out, is this "final solution" in any way related to something carz has posted in The OG Senate recently or not?
And I also wish that everyone who is suffering from floods in their countries to be allright.
And welcome back Splash

I actually thought of Carz post too when I saw this. Might be related to the fact that I read this and visited OG straight after
Hoping that SHP isn't turning into LHP (Lady Henry Pitkin).
(But again if that is wht he wants....

ohh pitkin
don't be sad I know you haven't said much but if it is right for her to do it then hoipefully it will all turn out ok. It's ok to be worried but if it is what she wants to do then I am sure she has put a great deal of thought into it.
Its really hard to comfort someone when I don't have a clue whats going on, but trust your friends judgment.

Might be, might not. However, I'd personally consider it a ridiculous coincidence if these things happened within the same 24 hours plus were somehow related. ^^;SGSW wrote:* /me checks if nobody has put halucinogenic substances in Pitkin's tea *

I see me posting two serious posts in a short time range caused some speculation, which wasn't really my intention. Should be more careful with what I blurt out from now on. No need for Super Ego to say anything.
Why didn't I choose Lady Pitkin as my nickname when joining...?Chroelle wrote:I actually thought of Carz post too when I saw this. Might be related to the fact that I read this and visited OG straight after

(That'd the 'name' of Sir Henry Pitkin's wife in the radio play I originally took the nickname from; the first name of Pitkin's wife is never mentioned and she's only referred to as Lady Pitkin. One of the few people Sir Henry was actually afraid of.)
No, but seriously again. I admit having had different kinds of issues with myself during the last six years, but one thing that fortunately has not bugged me yet is my gender. Thanks to different scandals, however, I've been forced to give up my nobility status. ^^;
Thanks Dizi-san. I trust her 100%. ^_^Dizi wrote:Its really hard to comfort someone when I don't have a clue whats going on, but trust your friends judgment.

To be honest I didn't think of the carz post at all but in fact something much much darker... I do hope it's not that....
Only trust your friend's judgement if it is not that... because it is not an option ever worth contemplating...

Now now, let's drop this topic already. It seems like I managed to kill all the activity in the Bar... ^^;
I was worried sick when I wrote that post, but in general I've the tendency to think of things in an extremely pessimistic way; everything's already turned out to be at least 'tolerable' if not yet 'great'.
I really apologise for posting that in the first place; sometimes I feel I cannot help but vent my feelings somewhere. The scene's over, let's move on... I was thinking of writing something totally rude and inappropriate about everyone around, how does that sound? Any thoughts on this issue? ^^;
