Probably not cheap, but System Shock 2 is coming to GOG.com tomorrow!

Edit: Price will be $9.99 (I expected it to be higher).

Interesting promo at GOG.com. Pick 5 games and get an 80% discount. List includes games like Chronicles of Riddick, Alan Wake, King's Bounty Crossroads, Sam & Max (Seasons 1 and 2), Lucius, Defender's Quest, Inquisitor, Deponia and Divinity 2.

I highly recommend Defender's Quest. Have played that for more than 80 hours by now and I still have fun with it. And I normally don't even like tower defense games.

Promo will last a week.

If anybody can get Chronicles of Riddick to work, I envy them. That was not the best buy of my life.

If someone doesn't yet have Blackwell games, Resonance or Gemini Rue, now they are all in one handy bundle.

The Humble Bundle Store is doing weekly sales now. This week it's pay what you want for Bastion. If you pay more than the average ($2.62 at the moment) you also get the soundtrack, a digital art pack and some ringtones.

Pay what you want for The Trouble with Robots on Indiegamestand. Developer describes the game as a side-scrolling action / strategy customisable card game. I played the first few levels and so far it's good fun.

Promo with Hasbro's Dungeons & Dragons games (Baldur's Gate 1 &2, Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights 1 &2, etc.) at GOG.com. The more games you buy the higher discount you get. If you buy them all (or already have some and buy the rest), you get 80% off (which means $21.10 for the whole package):

http://www.gog.com/promo/hasbro_stackin ... omo_050413

And once again, I have to say that they really have a nice community over there. More or less completely unmoderated, but very respectful, friendly and generous most of the time. Someone gifted me all ten games from the promo today. I don't even asked for them, he just saw a comment of mine, thought that I might like them and gave them to me just to see me happy. That's simply amazing!

Pay what you want for Pid at Indiegamestand. If you pay more than $1, you'll get additional GOG and Steam keys. If you pay more than the average (about $1.30 at the moment), you'll get some concept art, sketches, illustrations and wallpapers as well.

Seems like GOG.com started their summer sales, leading with Torchlight being free for the next 48 hours or so.

Yep, summer sale at GOG.com. Nearly the whole catalogue is 50% for the next three weeks, there are daily deals with up to 85% off and Torchlight is free for today and tomorrow. Nice!

There's also a new Humble Bundle (Android 6) which includes DRM-free Stealth Bastard Deluxe for the first time:

https://www.humblebundle.com/

And last but not least, you can get alpha version of Vox on Indiegamestand.com for whatever you want to pay. I think the game looks quite interesting:

It has begun.

This time around the Steam summer sales are heavily pushing the trading cards, the new metagame on Steam which, at least in my opinion, adds to the pile of proof that people and markets are far from rational.

The best thing about these "trading cards" is their complete lack of purpose. Oh, you can unlock badges with them? Well, whoop de yay. In other news I played two steam games, Hotline Miami and Civ 5, and received all associated "trading cards" within a couple hours play. Except the ones that you can't get through playing. Oh, lolly lolli lolol.

I'm a certified/certifiable trading card collector, and this is about as unexciting as anything I've ever witnessed.

So... you don't mind parting from the cards? =)

You're right. They are quite silly, especially when Valve + the game's publisher take cool 15% of each transaction of those cards on the marketplace, which probably tells everything you need to know about the purpose of those cards.

The crazy thing is, it seems to work. Looking at my trading history, it actually shows who used actual honest to god money (not earned by selling) and over two thirds just bought the cards using their credit cards...

It seems that every day there's a new bundle up on the interwebs. Anyway, now there's a good chance to pick up three games for 5 dollars or more and all the money goes towards your selected charity.

And, unlike in the Humble Bundles, all games are free of any DRM, because I don't think GOG.com has given up on that aspect just yet.

So, give money to pandas.

The guys at Frozenbyte have a new Seal up! and it's a big one, it's a Huge Seal.

You get to choose 5 coupons that give great discounts for some great indie titles like Stealth Bastard Deluxe, Legend of Grimrock, Trine, Rochard, Antichamber, FTL, Giana Sisters and other games that you probably already have.

Downside is that that it requires a Steam account to work, because there are asshats who abuse these things these days.
