The Kiwi's Tale

Post by Pater Alf »

"Nik the Kiwi and his mates are relaxing on Stewart Island one sunny day. All is going well. Suddenly a UFO controlled by a mad Alien sheep comes along and abducts Nik's Kiwi mates! It seems that the sheep are envious of Kiwis being the icon of New Zealand and want revenge.
And so Nik sets off to rescue his kiwi mates, travelling through New Zealand to rescue them." (taken from the manual)

"The Kiwi's Tale" is a cute platform game that was created for the Retro Remakes Competition 2008. It was inspired by "The New Zealand Story" which was published by Taito in 1988.

A fun game. But it gets quite hard when you get a bit into the game. The jumping system is also untraditional, in that you have limited control of the direction of movement when in the air. It's a very humorous game. It plays well and fluently. The Australia theme also gives a good impression.

In fact the Kiwis live in New Zealand. I don't think there are any in Australia.

Amazing platformer with lots of different features. You quickly get through the first levels but then it gets more difficult.
Great work on this one. A must try.
