Looks like it was done for fun, because I cant find other reason for doing this. What is safe then, if not even freeware gaming community is?

I wondered why the site was down when I tried to reach it last week. But I never would have imagined that the reason was that they were hacked. What kind of scum would do that to a site that was built and managed by people in their freetime to give other people enjoyment and games for free???

I hope RetroRemakes will be recover from this senseless act and be back real soon!

Retro Remakes down is an unworthy fate for a freeware Giant!

I truelly hope that they will be back on their feet. Somehow it doesn't surprise me thought that work on games continues even through that over there.

Best of luck to you guys and - Good work finding this out eMTe!

I was wondering too when I tried finding the site yesterday.
