I prefer  to :D. However, yellow face seem to match the other simlies. The grin posted by Pitkin had eyebrowns a bit too big.

Thus I decided to change one of the yellow face smilies to have the green face grin and came up with the picture below.

The OG smily for tongue sticking out was the nicest I seen so far, at least more expressive than :P. Too bad, didn't keep a copy of it.

I think I will ask Monte to take care of smilie polls. This way we can get some better smilies in here.

I tried to use this forum face and imitate OG's tongue sticking out but it's still not as nice. Wonder if someone could do better. However, this is the nicest I could do.

Attached for your comparison.

*edits*
Maybe OG's another tongue sticking out is not bad.
At least, all shows tongue sticking out rather than :P

I prefer the second 'tongue.gif' because, for me, it's an accurate reflection of a 'tongue in cheek' comment I may make.... but it doesn't really mix well with the other styles of smilies given the different colour and size - and so with those constraints in mind, I'd go with the third one 'icon_tongue.gif'

My two cents :P

I like the tongue.gif one also. He looks happier (and cheekier) than the others.
If only he were fatter...and yellower (is that a word?)

Eric & Orge, I completely agree with both of you. Actually I prefer tongue.gif (the original OG) too ;) , it's more expressive. If only it fits the other similies. However, this dark yellow face is of a different proportion. Hard to get the same result.

I tried another one, see below. Is it better than icon_tongue?

That's a very good one JKSM :) Yes, I think it's better - perhaps one pixel off each closed eye giving more space between the eyes...?

But I'm certainly happy with it as it stands. :)

Thanks, Eric. Are you sure you want one pixel off each closed eye? See screen shot below. The reason for having a small gap is to be close to the original tongue.gif and to be in proportion to the mouth. I'm fine with both. If members don't mind smaller eyes proprtion but nicer expression, then they can choose icon_tongue3.

Maybe could we have everyone's opinion whether they prefer icon_tongue2 or icon_tongue3 and see which is more in demand. :D

No, I love that one JKSM!! :) :) icon_tongue3.gif that is....

The wider gap between enhances the appearance each eye and therefore emphasies the raised inner edge indicating playfulness.

'course, I could just be full of crap

Very nice indeed! :)

We also need a whistling/looking towards the ceiling "Who me? No... I'm a good boy/girl" smilie too. I'll see of I can find an example...

Did anyone see the smilies I left on page 2??? I fear they have been overlooked due to their position at the end of that page.
