NEw need for banners...

Could you do something that changes? So it shows first like CWF-one you did above and then shows something like QUALITY FREEWARE GAMES or something. I need it for some advertisement I am going to try out...

I think you misunderstood me. We need banners advertising CWF and not other places... :D But good one none the less.

Actually we need these sizes the most...If you make something that can convert into all banners it would be cool. Maybe a big box ad where the title can fit for the small ads. But also we want to explain what our site is. (Quality Freeware Games) (Helping game-developers) (A site that is up and coming) Stuff like that.

Ok, here's what I was working on for the 88X31's.
I'll see if I can convert it to 117X30, which might allow to put the "QUALITY FREEWARE GAMES" in one screen without having a weird flashing gif. Essentially it would be a rollover, with the first one displayed in a constant loop and the second one played when running over with a mouse. This can be done in Javascript...but let me know if it is not possible, for posting on others' sites.

I'll try and slow down the animation while I'm at it...the first one bugs my eyes when looking at for too long...

I am also now working on a banner size ad...I recall seeing a post that asked for characters from freeware games, let me know how many of those we have, as I was thinking about using a bunch of them...

How many characters we have? We'll my guess is at least one pr. game :)
If you are asking about banners then 0.
Please also make more than one banner if you feel like it. I mean there could easily be one with Nick Bounty and one with Cedric. They don't all have to be in the same ad... :D

Also I am not sure it can use Javascript... But I am guessing that you are differing between two pictures when making the flashy ad. Could this be helped by shifting between more than two...? Like if you made two pics of the background and one of the foreground to switch between???

No JavaScript :(
That's okay, I didn't think we'd be able to pull that one off...

I just downloaded the GAP (Animation Program) for GIMP...so I'll post some animated banners as soon as I figure it out (early next week, wednesday at the latest)...should help with the speed issue I've been having...

Please also look into some in the other sizes. That would be cool. If you can make some with some of the chars on them please let me know. (I will contact the developers that have made the chars to get permission to use them on banners. I dont think it will be an issue though.

Well, I tried posting a GIF a few3 seconds ago of a new banner, but for some reason it is not animating anymore...it might have too many layers, but it was working amazing yesterday...I'll see if I can get it going again tonight before I pass out... :?

Ok...let me know if everyone else just sees a guy standing there?
There should be a lot of animation with this, like CWF falling from the sky and "Freeware Gaming" flashing...followed by something that says, "Only the Best Survives"

The file might be too big...I'll look at making it smaller...but I have one that's 10K and it doesn't animate on my computers all that well either... :(

Humm.. Paggy. The animation is indeed not working... It did change couple of times for me, (from letters CWF to CWF with some yellow text on it, to the guy standing). But those 3 steps took a minute, and now the guy is just standing in there :| OOO, now the sky appeared :) It just seems the image is too slow for some reason :(

I only see him standing there. I really like the idea though:!:

It sounds really cool.
Do you think it could work if you sent it to me via regular mail?

Animation worked, but it was incredible slow (as Maz said before). Took me about four minutes to see it all... :(

It seems to work fine for 1 iteration then goes funky.
I'll look into it tonight after work. But I think I know what is going wrong...

What do you use to make avatars...? I was thinking I would try and do something with it too. But please continue your good work. I will set that ad to show too in our PW-ads.
Please look into a skyscrapersized thing if you can, and want to. There is a lot of spaces for those where the price is still very low.
I found alot of good avertising spots tonight. All below 0.03$/day so I hope to see more visitors soon.
I plan to try and make something too myself, but I think we might need some serious help from whoever can.
Also I am thinking about asking one of the developers if they would try and make a banner for us... The more banners the better. One single banner-ad wears out the effect and people stop clicking it...
