We need banners...

Post by Chroelle »

Well. The topic says it all.

Do you know how to make banners, and could you do one for CWF.
Size: 88x31. (First priority)
Later on it would be great if you could do more...

Is this something you can help with then please write in here.
More contributions will be welcome.

Had some time tonight, had this page open, and also remembered this thread. So made you a few banners if you still want them.

Don't know if these are too big, too small, wrong colours ect, but anyone can make new ones, using that site I linked to, if you don't want to use any of these.

Sorry.

I'm not an expert, and that site produces nice banners. I do feel stupid for posting them now though. Just pretend they aren't there, please.

Ohhh no Priddy don't be sorry, you brought back some fun memories for me, and I think that it is a good site for making banners. I used it a lot before I learnt how to create my own. It is a very useful link and could be extreamly useful to help the site with the banners.

Its good that you are helping out and what you did using the site looks really good :D

All I meant from my comment was that I knew that Chroelle had used such a site to create his logo on his webdesign site :D

I suggest creating an 88 x 31 banner since this is a size that a lot of websites use to exchange banners.

Pridy, dont feel stupid at all. I really think the idea should be concidered. Somebody just need to go deep into this to make banners. If you feel like making more, please do so. All contributions are welcome.

Oh and if you could make them like Moshboy suggested.... Cool.

ive tried one.. its 88*31 pixels.. tell me if it needs improvements or if you have other ideas.
It could also be a mouseover instead of a blinking .gif...

These look good. I think it is cool with the blinking and mouseovers only attract attention when you are ready to click them. Blinking creates attention from the moment you load the page.
Maybe we want it in a lighter shade... I am thinking that Dizi's suggestion was very light, and we might want to go that way. Light is good.
That banner could be one for now, until the namechange in my oppinion, but what does everybody else think?

That looks great madsolsen :) I like the blinking one wery much. Perhaps you could cut the delay a bit? (between the blinks) or does it turn irritating that way?

And I like it dark :p But the banner should of course fit to the colors we (well, desing team forced with Curly and Zyx and other(s)?) will select for the site version 1.0 :) Perhaps we can at some point also add a bit darker style as one option... After all, I personally prefer dark colours :D

i like dark colours too ;) .. the delay is set for 3 seconds.. because i was afraid it would irritate but it is no problem cutting the delay :)

and thanks mate :)

How about bigger and more colourful letters?

I'm not particularly good drawer, so I post it only to show my thinking pattern. Dont expect me to make any banners. :)

I am thinking that it could be, but I will let it be up to new design to decide. Big colourful letters would clash with the current background which is very simple and light.
