why was my post deleted?

Post by portfreewaregames »

This post is for the forum moderators . . . .

As I am new to curlysworld.com and I am still finding my way so please be patient with me.

I had a post deleted today and no explanation was given why and I would like to know why.
It wasn't spam it was a link to a freeware aio software pack for Windows that I have been distributing from my website and it was directly relevant to the topic "Freeware debate".

I assume that if currlysworld.com (wrongly) identified it as spam I would have been given some sort of warning.
Did I post it in the wrong section?

I would like to post the same info again in a different section but I don't want to be wrongly accused of spamming.

Thanks in advance

Because your post probably looked a bit too much like spam.

Please note that this is a discussion forum meant mostly for discussion of games and while it's ok to advertise your own stuff as long as it is not the only thing you do here.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

So is it OK for me to repost in another section like "The Village Square" or should I wait until I've made a few more gaming posts?

I merged one of your posts with existing one and moved another one as it doesn't really belong to gaming section.

Generally, posts with insufficient number of capital letters, lacking punctuation, having non-working image links and looking like copy/pasted tend to be considered spam. But if you're not a spambot - well, that's ok. 8)
