Problems with time and database...

Post by Chroelle »

I had an issue today where the database showed me 6 new posts since my last visit. It turned out to be 6 posts that I already read and one I already answered... See pic named 1.
It seems to be stuck in time...

It shows me that the newest post was by me at wednesday. See pic named 2.

Also PA already answered this last post...

After posting this the NEW POSTS link went weird, and told me I had 7 NEW POSTS (No not my own counted in, because that didn't show...)
And when I tried to go to the mainsite it opened up in a new window and asked me to log in... When I logged in everything was fixed... No problem at all, and the NEW POST shows the correct amount, and also this is the newer posts...

It's been like that for me always. I guess it's some feature with phpbb.
As far as I've understood things, it looks like it determines "New posts" as posts that were made after you "last visited the site". The problem is that I'm not totally convinced phpbb does this in any reliable way.

Well it has always worked for me until yesterday. The weird thing is that it accepted the new posts to be done after I was last on the site, even though some of the new posts were made by me...
