Great. Tell me if you need a hand with this.
Again - OR MONTE.

He has actually gotten Trackmania Nations for us. Great game, but a bit dull to play offline in the long run.

Beneath a Steel Sky full CD version confirmed freeware. 70 Mb of download. I'm still not sure about Lure of The Temptress, but working on it.

Abandonia reloaded say they are all about retro remakes and community made freeware.

A good place to start searching for remakes for this site. But we need to check out that we can upload to this site.

I think that GTA 1 is freeware now and can be found on the Rockstargames Homepage. Even heard that the second was freeware too now.

Don't know where to post this. Caiman is one of my favourite freeware sites. It has tons of freeware games, good and bad. It goes by categories - Mario clones, Crillion clones, Pacman clones etc. It has pictures & reviews of the game and even a link of the author's website. For certain games, it also states that for the download offered on the site, it has removed the spyware that is originally in the game that downloaded from the original website.

If you are deciding what freeware games to select, this is a good website to look through.

http://www.fileplanet.com/131330/130000 ... ous-Deluxe

Just wanted to add this link to the deluxe version. That way I can find it again. I am pretty sure it will become available at this site.

Does anyone know of a good place to find a list of games released as freeware that used to be commercial???

They made Railroad Tycoon original a freeware game, but I'll have to find the link for it. I think it may even come with DOSBox too.

This thread needs to be taken up again I believe. Of one reason:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_co ... s_freeware
I think we can find alot more games here for submitting.
I will dig into it when I get some time.
