It looks a bit like some of the tomb raiders, but the clothing is not exactly the same.. However I'd guess the (lara croft) tomb raider <insert the accurate title specification here>.

The character looks like Calvin (from Calvin & Hobbes). But I doubt there was a video game about them...

Sorry, but no. It was something very popular on the PS1 (it said on the website where I found it). "A game you couldn't stear clear of" - And yet I managed to do so. :)
