How about a platform game with graphics imitating the 16x10 (possibly even lower) resolution ratio?

Dont know if I suggested this already:
How about a RPG/or shooter where you have to wear a tripcounter and the more steps you take during your day, the more your hero levels up! That would be big in healthy kid-institutions! More weapons and armor open up when you hit trip-milestones!

How about a game where the player can't move, the enemy are incoming, and only your awesome mouse skills can save you! (Move walls, switch on turrets, Fire the Cannon, etc!)

The Nintendo3DS has a nice pedometer feature which gives you 1 coin for every 100 steps, and up to 10 coins per day. Coins are used for In-App-Purchases, (costumes, levels, etc) rather than actual payment. 'tis quite nice actually, and has given me a reason to wander around with my 3DS in my pocket.
.. Just a shame there's naff all games for the thing, really!

How about a MMO/Chessgame, where everyone is either black or white and everyone is able to move pieces when its their turn, but all share the same board? You have to hurry to get your strategy through.

How about a platform game where you dont have control over character's movement and also decisions to shoot enemies are controlled by AI, but you have full control over bullets?

I was thinking about the dilemma content creators have when they make demo's of something. For example a part of a book, or a demo of a game. They don't want to make it too long so there's not much left to buy, and they also want to make it long enough so you get emotionally invested in the characters.

I think it's easier as an author to sell your books if it's part of a series, because you can let people read the first for free, and that book is long enough to get you emotionally invested in the characters so you want to buy the next ones also. That's something that has resulted in me buying several series' of books.

That's when i thought of the idea:

How about a game where at the end of the demo, it's part of the story that there's a cliffhanger where you have to buy the full game to be able to save the characters, otherwise they die, or something else very bad happens? And if you've bought the game, it's like this thing where you think there's no way to save them, but then something unexpected and epic happens which saves the day. Sort of like those cliffhangers i've seen in Naruto. That could be awesome :) It would be cruel to the player, but awesome.

I tried reading about it on wiki and similar places but found nothing to gave mea clue as to how it relates to my gamesuggestion. Do you use a trip counter in this game?

It's not integral to the games, but at certain points you receive a tripcounter and every step you take from then on counts towards opening up exclusive items. There are even items to increase your step count. Of course, those games are full of quirks, so this is just an aside among quirks.

Ok. What I was looking for was a reallife tripcounter, as seen clipped on belts everywhere by slightly overweight madames and fitness fanatics. :)

 Indeed - but which game would actually qualify to live up to my dreams of a game. Remember it has to work so that you offline can go to work/school and use the tripcounter, and then go back to play and the game would update according to how much you moved. :)

I think there was a Pokemon accessory that did something like this, Pokéwalker.
