Green Man Gaming has had similar free game offers from time to time. Some time ago I think they offered Commandos 3 or something. The sad thing is that their Capsule thing that is mandatory to play their games is a bit outdated and clunky.

"Beyond Divinity" is given away for free today:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/de/de/p ... -divinity/

I don't like DRM and the capsule tool you have to install and use to launch the games on Green Man Gaming, but if you don't mind that, it's certainly a great deal.

Haven't played it, but "Divine Divinity" was a pretty good game. Is "Beyond Divinity" that much worse?

Divine Divinity was a pile of poo. Only slightly better than Dink Smallwood.

Well, just not my genre really, but I gave it a chance.

"Chester is a 2D platformer with over 10 unlockable characters, a light RPG element and leveling up system, loads of unlockables, around 50 levels, and 8 "styles" that allow the player to change the look of the game at will. These styles include sketchbook, 8-bit, LCD, blueprints, and many more. They also each give a unique gameplay bonus to the player. The game also includes 4 difficulty levels so that almost anyone can beat the game or get a very challenging experience out of it."

Is free. Normally costs 8 euro.

Green Man Gaming is offering Greed: Black Border for free until Thursday. I haven't yet figured out how they make money by giving out free games.

If you don't mind installing Uplay you can get some pretty cheap offers. It said 9 DKK per game in my newsletter, so i guess it would be around 1,2 euro.

Thursday:
Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X.® 2 - Deluxe Edition
http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/da_DK ... ition.html

Friday:
From Dust
http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/da_DK ... -Dust.html

Saturday:
Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic - Collector's Edition
http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/da_DK ... ition.html

Sunday:
Driver® San Francisco - Deluxe Edition
http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/da_DK ... ition.html
I recently completed this game, and can very much recommend it. The driving in this game is very fun, and also the car swapping and ramming, and it has a good story. Tons of different cars, with unique cockpits. I had the best driving experience since Need for Speed Porsche. But i had a lot of trouble getting my gamepad to work with it.

I think I have to invest one of my hard earned euros into Driver: San Francisco. In the more common currencies, the prices are 1€ / £1 / $1 because that's how game companies think currencies work.

You can get "Chester" for free, if you create an account at the new indie games store IndieGameStand. Might become an interesting alternative to Steam and Desura, because it is pay-what-you want and DRM-free. Depends on what games they really can get I think.

Pay-what-you-want for Escape Goat (for the next 38 hours).

https://indiegamestand.com/

And there's a pretty good weekend promo over at GOG.com: 60% off for some classic series like Tomb Raider, Thief, Hitman or Deus EX.

Indiegamestand sells SpaceChem for the next four days. Pay what you want and get the game DRM-free for Windows, Mac and Linux. If you pay more than $1, you'll get keys for Desura, GOG and Steam as well.

If you like puzzle/logic games and haven't bought the game yet, you should definitely buy it now. One of my favourite indie games in 2011/2012.

If you don't have this game, get it now. No exceptions.

It's a shame this version does not come with the Paper Edition (or the Corvi 63 expansion).
