Harald Hardtooth (Hårdtand) (GOT PERMISSION)

Post by Chroelle »

Which game would you think had the highest odds of becoming freeware? (That you would like to see as freeware)

Which game would you LOVE to see as freeware?

I would have to go with Harald Hårdtand as the one with most chances, and Pirates Gold, maybe Syndicate, I would love to have as freeware.

There´s one game I really would love to see as freeware: "UFO - Enemy unknown" (Microsoft). But I don´t think the chance for this to happen is very high...

But which one do you think could be made freeware? I already wrote the developer of Harald Hårdtand. They are a Danish company, under a global dental hygiene company.
Hoping to get a positive reply.

Got a mail back from the developer, which says that they had a crew called SilverRock productions do the game, and they were pretty sure that they had the rights for the game. I just sent them a screenshot from the opening screen saying Copyright Colgate-Palmolive in other words... Its they who have the copyright, and all I need is a special permission to host it.
Also I tried tracking down some contactinfo on UFO, but the closest I got was a real live adress from 1995... If you can get anything newer, I would love to try it out, just to see what they will answer...

Well if I am not the man, I don't know who is... :D

We got usage rights for Harald Hårdtand. They checked with their legal departement and all. We got special permission.

I just wrote Scythe a PM, which opens up to the suggestion that we should have a subforum in here where we contact people with copyrights for a certain game, and ask them to make it freeware (or at least give us hosting rights for it)
