I cannot help but notice that just when you enter the developers site, the first line that meets you is
Pioneer isn't ready to play yet.
Currently testing Life version 2.9 (With added second child)

I tried it and i was able to land, take off and travel between planets and fly planetside. I did however experience some crashes after playing for some time. It's still in development.
