DX-Ball

Post by Drasir-Vel »

DX Ball is an arcade game where you use a paddle and a ball to destroy bricks. It's a classic that has become very popular. Some of the reasons could be its crispy graphics, responsive controls and high framerate. There is 50 levels in the game. They can also be modified using the editor. The editor can be accessed by pressing CTRL + F1 at the main menu.

I played this to death some time ago, when I worked with some kids in a special institution. This game was easy to grasp and there is so many levels that you can play for a very long time without getting bored.
A good timewaster and highscore chaser! If I dont remember wrong then there is a DX-Ball 2 out there too.

Nice Arkanoid clone with the standard power-ups and power-downs. Nothing special, but because of the level design it's still fun playing.

I wonder what this Magicwand Soft is. They had/have nothing(?) to do with game, yet they host it and let people know that it is their work. But there's absolutely no visible connection between Michael Welch and Magicwand.

When i originally posted this game, the Magicwand Software site was what looked most to be it's homepage.
The name "Magic Chopstick Games", which is who made Jardinains, sounds like a parody on Magicwand Software, so it sounds like there are also others who think there is a connection between them.
My impression is that Magicwand are just someone who likes DX-Ball so much that they host it as a major part their site.
I edited it so it doesn't look so much like Magicwand are the ones who owns it.
