My wife made a reference to old saturday morning cartoons today...for some reason the first words out of my mouth were, "like, Hulk Hogan's Rockin' Wrestling??"

Still have a lot of references to B&B in my daily dialogue with my best friend. So many classic remarks - but teepee is still one of the best.

Later on came Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and was shown saturday morning as a new favourite.

And because it was shown on a christian channel, which was the only one that showed cartoons EVERY morning and afternoon:

There is a fun anecdote that should go with the story of that channel... It was called Kanal København (Channel Copenhagen for those that didn't guess) and was in its early years mostly known for showing Christian content like American (and one Danish) preachers praising the lord - a VERY uncommon phenomenon in Denmark where almost everyone is either protestant (term loosely used) or atheist. In the evening closer to midnight it showed either VERY left-wing propaganda shows that was extremely local broadcast-ish or heavy-metal-shows with the same level of quality (inspired by MTV's Headbangers Ball). After the Christian content disappeared the channel went in another direction...
These days when you say Kanal København to anyone the first word they repsond is PORN. They started showing porn every friday and saturday night from 0.00-4.00 am. Thank goodness for VHS-recorders.
Talk about a turnaround!
