Happy New Year! It's 2011!!!

Post by jayenkai »

2011! blimey!

If you'd have asked me, as a kid, what I thought 2011 might be like, I'd be imagining awesomeness!
The movie 2001 looked like a spectacular space fueled vision of the future, albeit with a slightly quirky AI, 2010 was astoundingly further still, but to imagine FURTHER than that!?
Surely by 2011, we'd have conquered the galaxy!!

.. Have we munkys.

Happy new year, everyone.

Where's my flying car?

I am with you on that one. Where is my matching silver one-piece suit? And how come we aren't the united nation of Earth yet, with some supreme ruler that comes up on every tv-screen around all the time...?

Happy New Year as well.

And then there is me, listening to my 78RPM records from the Pre-WWII days, restoring a set of model train coaches from the same era.

Bah, you fellows move forward in time, I will stay put!

Happy new year!

Last time I went to the gym there were at least 3 guys wearing a one-piece silver suit.

...but now that it's been mentioned, I guess I'll take an iPhone over today's version of the flying car...
