Would "the tip of the spearhead" be also correct? If spear has a head, this head must have a tip. :D

Shoot me down why dont ya... :)

Yes - it has to do with installing a touchscreen in my place of work - which is for older kids that kindergarten. It is related to the school. The installation is also of software that is a new thing to the whole area, and getting to be the GO-TO-guy in my area on this is a rather big thing - not for my job as such but for my company. It looks pretty good, and also the thoughts related to doing this right is something that I am GOOD at. People in my area of work are regularly not very used to these types of solutions. And that makes me the guy running in the front. Frontrunner, perhaps, but if the frontrunner was holding a spear, then I would be the tip of the spear(head). :)

I completed my scuba diving training today. It was lots of fun even if it wasn't as simple as I thought it would be.

What we really need on the site now is a scuba smiley. Image

You can imagine tiny people inside the smiley, if that helps.

Everything I was trying to express for years has just spread into Polish public radio. I don't know why or how. Millions of people now listen to what I tried to express. There are two guys talking, one of them being a guy from radio, another one from outside. The radio guy understands what drives the man who opened himself so much that

...and they switch to Dylan, Floyds

I am happy, because I begun my running season. After recent climbings of three mountains in waist-deep snow I noticed, to my surprise, that I am in very good shape, so I decided that I may as well start running in February for the first time in my life.

I am happy, because my running is going surpsisingly good. I fight chill, wind, rain and occasionally snow, but I keep running short distances on daily basis. With that pace I'll be ready for 10 km runs by April, when I normally begin the season.

Great! I want to start my running season too. I am still waiting for the degrees to climb above where my astma gets triggered. That means at least getting above +5C.
I cant wait.

It was around zero degrees (+ wind, + rain) last Saturday in the evening when I entered local store, dressed in running shorts, and there were two 5-years old kids and one shouted in admiration: "Look! A sportsman!" Normally I don't like the crowd gawking at me, but all these people in coats and caps looked actually as funny to me as I probably looked to them. :P

Yes, running in winter is fun. Ran 15 km today at -5 degrees while it was snowing and storming the whole time. And it just felt perfect!

Well, I'm not that hardcore, but running during bad weather has several obvious advantages - no other runners, no dogs, no kids on bikes.

It has also one huge disadvantage - no female runners, bikers and skaters in tight costumes.

This past June, my friends at Pace voted for me as a write-in for union president. While I won by a landslide, it was only a symbolic gesture, as local bylaws require all union officers to be employees of a company covered by the union.

Was told today that at the next union meeting, they will repeal this rule, meaning next union election, I can actually become president of the union here.

Maria and I decided we are not moving yet. The management are still, after all these lawsuits, up to their tricks, and we are NOT leaving until they have all been stopped once and for all. Just because we won, does not mean we will forget or abandon those still suffering. I don't like to leave a job half finished, and neither does Maria.

Now to find out when the next election for union president is.

I'd guess that's something the next union meeting can decide on... :D

I ran 15 last Saturday (not under winter circumstances though, since spring finally decided to make a visit and end our prolonged SAD), and 12 today, so I am getting close. Sometime in 2020 I will run 20 in the middle of January I hope. Unless global warming will decide to make Januaries even warmer than they are now and my "achievements" will only incite sneers. 8)
