I kinda forgot my point about mentioning the whole place in the first place, that being the realization that I apparently dress like a butch lesbian. :girlpower:

Thanks for reminding to wash the stamp off.

Maria can't sleep tonight, so neither can I. So, she is just laying by herself in bed, trying to at least get some rest. I am working on our model railroad, and took a break from that to come here.

Had a hell of a week where only the election yesterday was able to keep me up past 9 o'clock. So ten to midnight seems like th middle of the night. I simply needed not to go to bed tonight right after tugging in the kids for once. So I watched trash TV and tried to persuade myself to get up from the couch and get the Harddisk-recorder-remote so I could watch a movie from that...but 2 hours later and now it is too late to start seeing a movie. Guess I am off to bed... Sleep tight everyone.

Finally I can share a story.

So... it's the middle of the night and my phone rings. It's my friend, drunk, telling me he is with a billion dollars worth of international venture capital people and the bar's closing (so one can deduce it's around 3 am) and they want to go to a sauna (you might remember the sauna business I'm involved with) and, my friend (an entrepreneur, I should clarify) wants to know, if I could bring them vodka.

:shots:

Welcome to Finland.

But you missed the most important part of the story. What happened between 3am and 9am? :HM:

So I assume that when we finally get a CWF meeting together, it will be held in a Finnish sauna with plenty of vodka to go around?

With the current temperatures I wouldnøt mind having such a meeting now... :)
Annoying that I forgot this thread. Last two days I have been up until around 2 because with 2 sick kids you really start to long for quiet hours, and the only time hey are present is when everyone is asleep. Unfortunately the kids have begun waking up 20 times (actually 20 times) every night, so its not as quiet anymore...

It was the middle of the night and my lovely downstairs neighbor partied hard to 2 am again, keeping me awake.

Well. Let's just say that a bit after 8 am I felt a great need to listen to Dream Theater.

It's a shame that I don't have a subwoofer.

IT was the middle of the night and I was waiting up for my weifey to return from dinner with her sis. (Lets just say that I was waiting up and that I wasn't eyeing an opportunity to play Mass Effect to the wee hours...). Unfortunately she was quite ..."tired" when she came home, and our dear kids woke up each 4 times during the night, which meant that I was apparantly a single parent for that...
They finally woke up around 6.15 and I have gotten about 4 hrs of sleep in bits. At least the wifey was decent enough to wake up for a second and tell me honestly that she was hung over and was sorry that I had to take the kids...
So the silver lining is that I have to get up at 5.45 tomorrow because my leave ends and it is back to work for me, and well .... it wont be hard to fall asleep early tonight! :)

Okay, so maybe the word "listen" is not the correct one, as I was on morning walk with my dog for the best part of the album.

Spiteful? Moi?

My experience shows that the best flats to live, in terms of calm, are old (pre-war, or older) tenements. They have the thickest walls, so if there's any party up- or downstairs you can only guess that there's a party. Of course it doesnt work in all cases, but generally they are safe. Negative side is that they are the most expensive to heat up during winters.
