00:28 in Brisbane at the moment.

I am awake after a car crashed into the house over the road a couple of hours ago. There are still a few people in the yard over there talking loudly ect, so I will be up for a while yet. My bedroom is right at the front of our house. Details of the crash are in my latest thread in the Council Chambers.

10 minutes till 4am. My computer's dying, and the portable drive which I used to store every single thing of any value broke due to powercut. I'm not going to post in the Why Are You Happy Today? thread for obvious reasons. Everything's lost, and I cannot bother even trying to retrieve anything, so frustrated I am.

I've had it with computers, with every Fuudamn digital or electronic device in general and with doing any bleeding thing with anything more technical than a mechanical pencil. I really have to consider moving on to consoles in the future for games, and back to typewriters for everything else. Porn and other rubbish can be found outside the net anyway. Curse. Foul word. Hateful thinking.

Off to sleep, no reason to stay awake. More hateful thinking.

edit: Sorry about this post.

I actually had to miss work yesterday through lack of sleep! I have had chronic insomnia all my life but never as bad as this week. I finally got to sleep at 4am on Monday night, then 3.30am on Tuesday night and 5.30am on Wednesday night - each time getting up at 8am the next day!!

I was, to put it mildly, screwed on Thursday morning and had to take the day off... I got up at 1.30 in time to see Ecuador-Poland and then, of course, England-Trinidad & Tobago... so all was not lost - every star has a silver lining as they say.

It's midnight here, and I can't sleep because I'm excited for UPS to deliver some vitally needed parts tomorrow. A DVD ROM drive, a 1.4 GHz Athlon CPU, some hard drives, and a Celeron 500. And the US Mail should be bringing a 128 MB memory upgrade for my IBM ThinkPad laptop. This will give me 224 MB of RAM! (32 soldered to the board, 128 in bank 1, and 64 in bank 2)

Also busy with work on computers, and working a little on my model railway here and there too.

It's just after midnight here. About 4 minutes after to be exact. I'm listening to Fanfare of The Common Man by ELP, and reading through the posts I missed in my absence.

I think I'm still awake because of the adrenaline I built up lifting weights about an hour and a half ago...I've dranken about 3 litres of water in the past hour and haven't had to go to the bathroom yet which is kinda worrying me...where is it going? :?

Must...not...play...Imogen...

In fact just thinking of that game is making me sleepy...the song has changed now...Rock You Like a Hurricane by The Scorpions...think I'll go to bed now...

Because I wanted to rate/validate damn ###### $$$$!! Imogen. :D

And because I have lots of thinking. Would you sell the house in which you spent all childhood, together with backyard where you played with your friends as lil kid. And I hav 2 days for decision... #$% :?

Offer. Yes, there's an offer. Offer=transaction=money for next house. But... Damn sentiments! :stupid:

I'm going to play some snooker. Will decide tomorrow. Or not. :?

Oh.. How the heck time runs that fast? It's 03.30 AM, and I should get up soon... And I have not yet even found my way to bed... Damn.

And reason? Well, reason was because I had to once again prove myself that I have no skills whatsoever when it comes to graphics :D

00.20 AM

It's not exactly in the "middle" of the night, but night it sure is :D I'm pretty damned tired, and I am off for my bed soon.. I was just checking up on my mail, my forum ect.. :p
We're having a snow-storm here in DK tonight, so I prefer to sleep before it starts.. It could be quite noisy, and I prefer to get some sleep... I have to be in school in about 7½ hours, so I think it's a good idea :p Hehe...

Goodnight folks...

Well I can tell you that the snowstorm arrived and went and left a huge amount of snow in my way. And it just had to be on the particular morning where I have an hour to drive 4 places...And then get to work on time... Dammit.

It´s 2:25 in the morning and I´m quiet happy. My HD crashed yesterday evening and left me without all my data (I had copies of some stuff, but certainly not of all). But I was successful in restoring all (or at least most) of the files some minutes ok. :Yahoo:

So I think I can get some sleep now...

I wouldn't want to think what would happen if one of my drives crashed!!! :O

You did a good job!! Did you use a specific program to restore the data?

No, I think I was quite lucky. There were just some sections of the HD broken. So I just put another drive into my computer, installed Windows XP and was able to get access to the old drive. Then the normal Windows help utilities did most of the job...

I saved all the important data now, but I think I have to exchange the HD with the broken sections very soon. It´s awful slow now and I´m pretty sure there will be a total breakdown soon.

It probs will PA. Usually HDDs last only a few startups after first symptoms... (Usually) If I had more money, I would buy another HDD for my home comp, or actually 2 new HDDs, and do raid mirroring for both of my current HDDs. I have just witnessed the lousy quality of today's HDDs for too many times... ;(

I had the same thing happen to me with my old 850MB HDD, where I managed to save something like 95% of the content. I guess I've been changing computers too often since then to have it happen again. ;)

Well, the middle of the night is when you should play adult adventure games like Buffy: Call of the Siren, isn't it?

It all started when the light bulb in my living room exploded, burning the fuse and killing my Growlanser game. After tinkering with the damn thing, I gave up after realizing it was the holder that had short circuited; I gotta get a new one next week. Well, I did finish up my Growlanser II game (11 different endings), and then found my way onto the old PC and got looking at the freeware I had on the HDD, where I discovered the Buffy game and had to play that after midnight...

I'd better head to bed now, or I'll be a vegetable all day tomorrow. I'm not so good at all nighters any longer.

Tuesday, 3:25am

Lecture at noon. Should definitely have gone to sleep two hours ago.

Just finished talking about night. And rain. Oh, and moon.

Said something bad to an online friend two and half hours ago. Must apologise to him as soon as we meet again.

I wish that hadn't happened; apart from that the night has been nice.

Good night, world. See you in the morning.
