Facebook anyone?

Post by Chroelle »

Well I wanted to know if you were in there. It would be kind of cool to keep acquainted in there too. Also I am trying to find some of the "old posse" in there, but having a hard time. Maybe some of you have better success.

This is me:

Feel free to add me. I will accept you if I know you. Dont mistake that for "I am collecting people to show off that I can get a high number of friends.".

Facebook! The hidden arm of US intelligence service! The source and end of all human knowledge! The money! The power! The lonely girls youd like to meet! Argh!

Maybe some day. I dont need it atm. My face is ugly and I prefer books from my private shelf. But you never know. ;)

The fun thing is that I ran into some guys that I expected wouldn't be there, and didn't run into some guys that I was sure were there. Weird how one has a tendency to judge... :)
Well I found some of my oldest dearest friends in there, that I haven't seen for over a decade. It is fun catching up though, and as alway people start talking all at once about getting together at some point. If only somebody would have the decency to actually do something about it. (I have my back clear since I arranged the last get-together.)

I added CWF as my homepage on facebook...about a year ago, so hopefully i got some people coming here...

I've gotten in touch with a few people I used to know in high school that I had lost contact with over the years...and also got in contact with some scary people that I had lost contact with over the years...the important thing is to not let these people know exactly where you are

Curly, I've sent a friend request to you..

Well, youre free to go:

link

Knowing me I will probably forget this whole facebook pretty quick, but thwi, let's try it. I wonder if I can use it to promote gaming and CWF somehow.

I already hate site's navigation, in comparison to biggest Polish community portal which you might have heard of it's a nightmare. :/

Cheers eMTe, I have added you...or at least sent a request...

I know it has been said...but I hate the layout of the new facebook...I really can't find anything...I used to be really hardcore about adding videos, but lately I have issues even logging into my account...meh...

Ive lost my heart quicker than Id thought. Real world is more appealing I presume. I never liked communities based on "having friends", instead I prefer the ones based on common interests.

I love the "People you may know" option...mainly because I never have any clue who that person is...like this new guy facebook keeps recommending, I checked his friend list and I don't even know anyone on that...the guy has 20 friends and half of them have the same last name...

This is most likely because you went to the same school or something? It did that with me, and most of the people on my list there was 15 years younger or older than me but we all shared the same school or high school or something third...
I found a lot of old friends through the people you may know tool, mostly because I might have looked for them in there before they registered and now suddently they start showing up in the people you may know box, because someone I know looked for them later on and found them. Most of the time I spend in there I spend watching photos of old times though, and of our christmasparties etc. Good laughs all around, but you still have to cut through a lot of crap to get to the golden things. ALOT OF CRAP!

I like when Facebook says "hide this action in your profile". Alledgedly nothing serious, but wouldnt you prefer to read "delete this action from your profile"?

I am not afraid of anything, I use Facebook in a totally opposite way Zuckerberg intends, but I start to understand why people make conspiracy theories about it. Ah, nuances. :D

I don't think it's a nuance. It's simply not possible to delete anything from your profile. Some weeks ago a user from Vienna wanted to know which data from his profile were saved by facebook and asked them to send him a copy. They first refused, but after some quarrel, they had to hand it over. The user received more than 1000 pages, because facebook simply saved everything he ever wrote or did including things he deleted a long time ago.

My wife logged into my "deleted" facebook account a few weeks back, and everything is exactly how I had last left it. It really is sickening thinking, you terminate an account, and they retain everything you ever give them.

I would almost put that on the level of inviting someone over for tea, and then when they want them to leave you just put them in your basement in case you want to visit with them later.

Well if you saw "The Social Network" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1285016/ then you would know that he used it to find pretty women. :) So you are looking for ugly men???

And Pager - dont we all have a few guests in our basement? Some people you just want to invite over and over again - no matter how much they cry and tell you to "at least let the kids go"...
