I have the exact same thing with watching snooker.

I love watching and playing snooker, unfortunately I perfectly know the rules and when you know the rules the discipline becomes less pleasurable to watch. Not much less, but less anyway.

It's probably the 6th time Im watching curling at all and I still dont grasp even basics of rules. Neither I care to read them. Still, it's surprisingly relaxing to watch, like listening to radio on the beach or something.
Ever play Rebound as a kid? Same thing, just you can't hit the rock off of the sides of the sheet, no elastic bands to keep it in play...
Abridged rules: Goal is to get your rocks closer to the centre (button) than the opponent's rocks. You sweep to basically clean debris and "melt" a path to where the rock is intended to go. If the rock needs to go faster you just just sweep it faster. And you generally get in crap if you tocuh or move any rocks, yours or others once they are in play.

I started yesterday (monday) for a company specializing in ventilation, and so far have been getting into doing the wiring for the ventilation aggregates. I'm probably also going to make technical documentation for it, like wiring diagrams, functionality descriptions and such, and do some programming on the controllers.

Sounds complicated!
I'm crap at anything electrical, and generally in awe of anyone who can fumble a few bits of wire to make magical things happen!!

I also had only the most basic of knowledge about electricity when i started on the automation technician education, but you learn quite a lot during the 4 years it takes.

So... HI.... I am Chroelle, and I am an absent admin. (Awaiting HI CHROELLE)

It has been 3 month since my last visit, but today I fell off the wagon.

I have been so extremely busy, and it didn't really occur to me just how busy, before I decided to go in here and see what was up, and realised that my last post was Dec 19th... I try to post at leat in here every time I drop by, so that spoke volumes.

New stuff... Well the municipality where I work and live has made some new tech rules and visions for after school programs - there are 10 of those in the municipality and well... I got to write them this year as an acknowledgement of how AWESOME I am at this. That was pretty cool!
As a consequence of this I was pointed out to get some more education on media and communication in the paedagogical diploma course, which was just approved, so I am gonna work full time and study part time from september... Which again means more business.
So I hope you all are doing great - I just read up on the Inn and it seems that you are - overall.

Anna just turned 7, Molly will turn 3 in a week or so, and I am feeling 70, though I am only 35. I got started on running again, but as so much else is finding it difficult to find time/energy to do it, so no real running schedule for yet.

Started reading Steven Baxter and Terry PRatchetts The Long Earth, which is good, but I tend to only find time at night, and then I fall asleep.

I have played more or less NO GAMES, except crappy tablet games for months now, so please direct me towards something enjoyable. :-D

That was more or less my rant - now you can all decide to read it or just write your rant below mine. :-)

Good seeing you here, C. Things are going well for us. Here in Kenosha, we have the hobby shop which I help with. Then up the street there is the old streetcar line with cars from the late 1940s/early 1950s running. Then there's a hot dog place that the owner set up a Lionel train set in front, which I fixed for him. He, Bob at the hobby shop, and I, are setting up a kids model railroading club. So basically surrounded by trains. I think a decade of Hell was worth it for this!

Skoda, and the son of the man who owns the hot dog restaurant, have become friends. They tend to argue over who runs the Lionel there, though. 2 year olds. Like having a blender with no lid. But I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Sorry.. Had nothing interesting going on, really..
AGameAWeek continues on, in an uneventful way. Coding is going smoothly, games are looking great, but nothing substantial is happening. It's just generally running it's course.
Health is similar, in that I'm still off-balance, and too much movement is still causing me to be sick, but I'm learning my limits, and sticking to a routine, and that's all becoming more manageable.
The cat's still avoiding everyone, but we're putting that down to a case of "That's just how she is", and letting her pretty much deal with herself. A shame that the cat's not more cuddly and strokeable, but.. I guess not every cat wants love and attention.

...
And, that's pretty much how it is. Every day's the same, things plod along, and nothing really interesting or post-worthy ever seems to happen.

'tis all a bit dull, if I'm honest, but at least I've got AGameAWeek to keep me occupied.
