No, not really odd.

Aw heck, just to get the game going again, it is a power connector for a computer. Molex connector to be specific.

It indeed looks like a lid. Could also be a trashbin lid, or lid of a powder can, but I still say it's a pint ^_^;

Loco's chimney? I lack English vocabulary and dont have time to search, I'm not sure if chimney is proper word for this sort of mechanical devices. Exhaust pipe maybe?

Cylinder of some sort? At least some part of steam engine.

Right concept, but no.

OK, hint number 2: What this is a part of, can be seen on some rail freight cars as well as often out in the countryside. At least here in North America. Don't know about the whole world.

A sort of hoole where you fill up the railroadcarts with fluids for example. Does my lack of vocabulary show too?
