I remember watching it as a kid, but no title comes to my mind at the moment... I remember that whole cartoon was similar to Smurfs and creatures from pic were living in some sort of underwater village.

That's correct. The name of the creatures has to do with the shape of the heads and the way they breathe.

I remember seeing it as well, but not on Danish TV I am sure. I am pretty sure it was one of those shows that I saw on French TV while being on vacation in France or something...

I "had" to watch this as a kid due to a baby-sitter that loved it...but never quite understood it...
