Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I'm sure you're not the only who posts things here that they would not normally say to other people You should attend Cracow wine tasting afterparties. If I would post what is being said there I would be probably put under surveillance by FBI. Nonsense...that would be the CIA. You'd have a satellit...

Re: Which invention has benefitted mankind the most?

Forget the kite for a minute...anyone who has ever eaten something greasy before a long car ride through nowhere can probably tell you that the invention that has most benefitted mankind is toilet paper.

Not sure why I like posting these, here, but.. I do! Funny thing that...I'm sure you're not the only who posts things here that they would not normally say to other people, or post in a drama palace such as facebook. I'd like to think of the village square like the bar from Cheers, or the better ye...

Re: Developing Ramblings

I dreamt about coding, last night. Not the usual "playing a game" sort of dream, but actual full-on coding. I dreamt about coding the other night too...but mine was more related to scripting a PowerBuilder deployment using this Powershell based deployment script that I have been working o...

Not sure if this guy is ever coming back...but, here we go... Basically if it is not just a speed issue, it sounds like your school is resetting the operating system back to a default version of itself nightly. This is essentially re-imaging. Think of it as a snapshot in time of the entire computer ...

Re: Which invention has benefitted mankind the most?

Thousands of people around the world may have in fact been using kites, does not mean it hasn't benefitted mankind. You could take the most complicated invention in the world only ever invented by one person and have it do absolutely nothing useful whatsoever. Light reading on this topic: http://en....

Sadly no. I took the straight and narrow way of doing things. Submitting e-mail, logging into e-mail, clicking link, copying and pasting new password, proceeding to delete e-mail, post some replies, log out, forget password, rinse and repeat.

Re: Which invention has benefitted mankind the most?

Correct. That's the way I look at it. I watched a show a few years back called The Smartest Canadian or something to that effect, but they had to have a debate about the greatest invention, two people argued between the internet and the telegraph. But really, there would be no internet without the i...

Re: Which invention has benefitted mankind the most?

You know, I'm going to go right out in left field on this one...I'm going to say the Kite. When you think about tracing back the majority of modern aspects of life, the kite is by far the greatest invention as it in some way could very well have had a hand in absolutely everything. For instance: 1. ...
