Wow!!!
I swear, I was JUST thinking of doing that!!!
Although mine was Deflektor with running water, but pretty much the same thing.
Looks fun.

NeonPlat 2
Hurray!!
The inevitable sequel to a great little game!!
Nothing I can say will say as much as the video.
So, here's that..
Youtube!!!
Downloadable here. It's available for Windows, Linux and MacOS, and it isn't a silly online flash based game! Huzzah!!

Re: UFO 246
I was going to do the usual "shooting baddies" and "powerup" stuff, but I totally overdid it with all the effects! Figured any enemy bullets would all blend in and disappear.

Re: JNKPlat 2010 : With Level Editor
JNKPlat's been updated, again, and now has over 130 levels.
Is that enough yet!?
Nah.. Gotta get to a nice round 150!
Expect more next week!

Re: Gravity Bombs : Game?!
Might be upgrading this at some point, this week. (I'm going to spend this week playing fixups, and recompiling a few things)
Thoughts on "gameplay" are much requested!!

Re: Gravity Bombs : Game?!
Tried that, it didn't seem to work as well as I'd hoped. Upon an explosion, all bombs headed directly to their destination. I also added a Yellow "hole" that would explode in a multitude of colours, but that made it even easier!! I added the "You can fire at the wrong coloured object,...

Gravity Bombs : Game?!
I've been playing with this most of the week, but I'm still not sure if it's a good "game". It's fun to play with, and it's very swirly, but is it a game?! I tried to tweak it into a game... But I don't know if I managed it!! http://socoder.net/jstuff/complete/Gravity_Bombs_20100504B_thumb...

JNKPlat 2010 : With Level Editor
It's that time of year again, when I try to redo JNKPlat and add as much as I can to a single release! http://socoder.net/jstuff/complete/JNKPlat_2010_20100420_Case_thumb.png This year I've zoomed right into the action, and added an extra layer of fuzziness to the game. Does it help, or does it hind...

Re: Online versus offline
Oh, absolutely. There's thousands of things better with Downloads, than silly browser 10-minute jobbies. But getting folk to learn that is a very difficult job. If they can't click and play RIGHT NOW, they probably won't bother. It's a sad state. But it's one that I, particularly, am all too aware o...

Re: Munky in a Mario Costume
The options were an inevitability. About 180 games in, folk were getting fed up with the fact that I never had a Fullscreen option in my games, so when I came to redo things for 2010, I figured that an option screen should really be top priority. So, yeah, that does work nicely, but it took a lot of...

Re: Online versus offline
Ooh, I'm sorry I missed this discussion! (found whilst compiling this week's newsletter, seems handy for checking each and every topic!!) I love downloadables, they're great. But you just know that, if my games were in Flash, AGameAWeek would be SO much bigger than what it is right now. The idea of ...

Blockman in a Mario Costume
It's the end of Mar10 month, and... dangit.. I missed a week. No matter. I made 4 brand new Mario inspired games within a month, and that's perfectly fine. http://socoder.net/jstuff/complete/Blockman_in_a_Mario_Costume_20100330_Case_thumb.png This week, our old pal Blockman returns for another whole...

Re: Munky in a Mario Costume
Blimey! You really are struggling, aren't you!! Well, I've been pretty much fooked with Migraines this week, and haven't actually (at 6am Tuesday morning) got my Tuesday morning game written, so it won't kill me to make a slightly slower edition of this game, since I'm doing naff all else this morni...

Re: Weekly Newsletter...?
First newsletter with CWF stuff included.. Read here , or even Subscribe here! I've only added 3 games for now, because I'm not really sure what the rate here is. There's usually a decent "bump" rate in the forum, but New stuff is probably a lot lower.. I've never really noticed which is w...

Weekly Newsletter...?
Over at Socoder.net, I figured it'd be a nice idea to have a weekly email, filled with all the random ongoings on the site, and a few extra bits inbetween. 46 weeks later, the newsletter's still going strong, and it's kinda fun spending a good 3 hours each friday, sitting down and writing a mountain...
