Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I just want to say, for the record, that I didn't come up with the two-foot snake joke. Chroelle started it! :P @Maz, I must say that your English has improved noticeably over the years. :) Nevertheless, as a native English speaker, I'd be happy to look over your portfolio if you like and PM any sug...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Hey Maz, good to see you! :D wow! Double congrats to you, both for having another kid and for getting married! :D How's life been treating you lately? How are your living conditions? (I seem to remember you had issues with your house) He's gorgeous Tormuse :D See, Chroelle? The ladies like my two fo...

Re: Facebook anyone?

Facebook is almost finished. I give it two years at best to survive. Gut feeling. I doubt that. Facebook is still growing, rather than shrinking, and is a multi-billion dollar recession-proof company. More than that, Facebook is a reflection of a fundamental change in how technology is perceived by...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

He/she isn't venomous. (I usually call Diamond a "he" for simplicity's sake, even though I don't know "his" gender for sure) He's not dangerous at all; he never bites, and even if he did, he doesn't really have any teeth to speak of. He's actually quite shy and spends most of his...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I didn't realise BD was back, does FFreak show his face around here too or is he just over there? and more importantly Tormuse, do you have any piccys of Diamond? I haven't seen FFreak online much since before the last BD reboot and I just looked at his Google+ profile and his last post was from tw...

Typing with your heels? This shows the difference between how you and I code. I would have used my hands! ;)

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Hey Tormuse, I've been fine, although it doesn't feel like I've been away for as long as I seem to have been... how are you? I'm doing okay. I'm back in school, taking practical nursing. (The massage therapy thing didn't work out) I'm also working at Wal-Mart in the cell phone department. (I kind o...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Heheh, this reminds me that you recently said that you're surprised that you've been able to keep agameaweek.com going for so long considering that you have ADD, but I think this shows that you've been able to keep it up so long *because* of your ADD. :D I would say that the ability to go from proje...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Well, hello again, Dizi! Long time, no see! How've you been? :) @RWM, I just saw your post about what happened in the park; I hope you and your family weren't hurt! :| At this point, it kind of doesn't surprise me any more about what kind of messed up people there are in the world. (Beating up child...

Re: Developing Ramblings

When I try opening the .APK file for Smash Lines, my phone gives me an error message that says, "There is a problem parsing the package." I'm not sure what that means, but I can't seem to install it. :|

Re: Developing Ramblings

Ooh, Combat! That's a game out of my childhood! :D I'll definitely be checking that one out! :) And I wanted to share that I won Atoms at hard mode. :) I won a few times, actually. Generally, the game seems to be about setting up clusters of 3 atoms (or 2 on the sides, 1 in the corners) two spaces a...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Hmmm... intriguing... This is actually a pretty cool game! :) After playing a bunch of rounds, I think I've figured out the strategy enough that I can win against three computer-controlled opponents most of the time at easy or normal difficulty. I only played one game at hard difficulty and it took ...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Sorry to hear that; that's kind of bizarre. :| I have to imagine that you're not the first person to come across this problem and there must be some workaround for it, but maybe you're right and it's just time to focus on another project. :)

Re: Developing Ramblings

So, I guess I ask which you'd prefer, then? Would you prefer "premium tiles", or would you prefer "tap to spell"? Your choice! Hmm... Tricky question... One is more like Scrabble and the other is more like Text Twist... Both have their own appeal, and you really could go either ...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Rack game looks good. It works well both in portrait and in landscape. (Aside from the dictionary issues, of course) I expect I'll mostly be playing that one in landscape mode, since the rack fills the screen more nicely that way. :) One very minor issue: If I switch orientations in the middle of th...

Re: Developing Ramblings

A couple of additional suggestions for Stringy Things: When I'm spelling words, I think I'd prefer the letters in the word I'm spelling to appear at the top of the screen, rather than the bottom. I'm right-handed, and when I'm holding my hand up in front of the screen to enter the letters, it neatly...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Woo! I hit the jackpot! :D I guess rapidly spinning around is Platdude's victory dance! :D I tried Stringy Things last night and either it's buggy or I am once again misunderstanding the rules. :| The first thing I did when I started the game (in 10 mode) was spell the word "azure." I thou...

Re: Developing Ramblings

I just downloaded it and I'll give it a try soon. :) Also, I thought you might like to know that I played a round of Platdude Slots earlier today and racked up a huge score of 5625, (almost 4 times my previous high score of 1460) by having him go up a ladder directly between two pillars with one spa...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Indeed, nice interview! :D I'll have to check out those games you suggested at some point. :) (As if I need more distractions from my schoolwork!) :P I tried out Karl's Tiny Adventure on my Android device. I like the setup and the character and I notice that you're including your music engine in the...
