Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I guess I spoke to soon about the nice weather here; It's been cold, windy, and snowy the last couple days. I thought we were supposed to be almost to spring! :|

On a more positive note, this past weekend, I performed on stage, singing and dancing with my chorus and had a good time! :)

Re: Developing Ramblings

You will always lose a life, but if you get a match of 4 or more you get an extra life. .. Probably should've written that down, somewhere! Aw well, no matter! Ah, okay, that explains it. :) I saw that I was gaining and losing lives and got confused. Now that I understand how it works, it's a much ...

Re: Developing Ramblings

I just wanted to say that I played a round of Lucky Dice during my lunch break at work today and my very first spin got me a Yahtzee! (Needless to say, I told it to hold all 5 dice) :P I estimate the chances of that happening to be about 1 in 1296, so I guess they really were lucky dice! :D EDIT: An...

Re: Developing Ramblings

That's pretty impressive! :o It's amazing how that little bit of modulation makes it sound like a totally different song! :) Just out of curiosity, Jayenkai, do you have any musical training? Like, did you go to school for it or something? Also, I gave Arcade Slots a whirl, (so to speak) ;) and it's...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Really? Maybe Toronto is the only city where it's been relatively nice lately. :D It went up to 10 degrees Celsius the other day, which isn't exactly hot, but it was bright and sunny and very pleasant feeling after the cold winter of previous weeks. :)

Re: Developing Ramblings

No whinging, I promise! :D And I wanted to say that I've been playing Spike Dislike 2 for Android lately and it works quite well! :) I like the fact that it has unlockable content; it really makes it feel like you're working toward something as you're playing the game and makes you want to play more...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I love all kinds of animals. My dad has always been into zoology, so I grew up with a healthy respect for life in all its forms, whether it's dogs, cats, bunnies, mice, and even the less commonly liked animals like snakes and spiders.

Re: Developing Ramblings

I woke up, checked TimeHop and it told me of another old AGameAWeek game from 4 years ago today. I thought it was quite a nice game, so posted about it over on my blog, launching an all-new segment that I've called "AGameAWeek Gold!" Each day I'll look back through the archive, checking o...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I doubt it. I had read online here that part of the reason cats come to the people allergic to them, is because trying to be unnoticed by the cat seems to attract them. Cats are indeed a funny species! Funny, I've heard the same thing of dogs. I guess it must be some instinctive thing; as your arti...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Oh, I would never complain about intentional silliness! :D And no, I didn't know it was a gag; I'm pretty gullible sometimes. :P I thought you were being serious and I figured you'd appreciate a bit of honest feedback. ;) Never mind, then. Disregard! :)

Re: Developing Ramblings

.. This is what happens when you don't like installers.. The quirky bits start popping up! I blame Microsoft!! I blame Microsoft for a lot of things. It saves time. :D However!! It might actually be one of those gameplay rules that I've not bothered to mention. I do this a lot.. Hunting my games fo...

Re: Developing Ramblings

I tried Blockman Gets Hungry, both the Windows version and the Android version. The Windows version doesn't work for me at all. :| I just get an error message saying, "This application has failed to start because OpenAL32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.&qu...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Nice! Congrats! :D I sent the link for Centipong to my brother and his wife since they both have iphones. I sent them a link to your site a while back because they're both into coding for video games, so I'm sure they'll appreciate it. :) I'll put a post about it on Facebook too if that's all right ...

Re: Developing Ramblings

...and Blockman attempts to get there! I see what you did there! :P You'll be happy to know, though, that bringing up the pause menu also brings up a nice "Move Speed" slider thing, which you can use to change between stupidly slow movement, or no delay at all!! Which is unbearably fast!!...

Re: Developing Ramblings

For the past few months, I've been inserting mini dev diary content amongst my The Little Inn posts, and .. Well, I'm not sure. People haven't complained about it.. Maybe they're just too nice to tell me off! Who knows! Well, I didn't mean it as a complaint; I just think it's a good idea to have th...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Happy Birthday, Jayenkai! :D I tried The Heist on my phone and yes, it's a silly little game. :) I played through it twice and I honestly don't know whether I won or not. :| After scaling the fence, (by rapidly drumming my fingers on the screen) :P The game cut to a shoot-out with the cops and a mes...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

It'll be 7 years in June, for me. (Wow! Has it really been that long?) :o As I recall, Chroelle advertised CWF to me as the lifeboat that would keep us afloat if OG ever went down. Well, OG held out for quite a while by merging with BD, but didn't really survive, after being rebooted a few times, an...
