Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I'm still here. My dog is also doing pretty fine . I've only managed to release so far four games, so pretty close to A Game A Year. But then again, I have only been working on small parts of them. I've been having quite a lot of fun* with Obduction, the latest game from the Myst developers. It's pr...

Re: why was my post deleted?

Because your post probably looked a bit too much like spam.

Please note that this is a discussion forum meant mostly for discussion of games and while it's ok to advertise your own stuff as long as it is not the only thing you do here.

Omikron: The Nomad Soul

As a tribute to the late David Bowie, Square Enix is offering the Omikron: The Nomad Soul which features not only music made by Bowie but also his likeness (his only video game appearance). The game was also Quantic Dream's (Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls) first. https://...

Re: Where are the games? Look here.

Looks like the Internet Archive updated their website. Modified links to bring the user to the right place.

[s]I couldn't find a way to search by contributor anymore =([/s]

The nice guys at Internet Archive gave us a new direct link to our collection.

Places were I do not expect a reference to the ending of Terry Gilliam's Brazil: an episode of the supposedly children's show Adventure Time.

This game has a beta out now (for some time actually), and it looks totally different from what it looked like when it was at prototype stage with way more nicer graphics and stuff.

Mortal Portal

At a recent event, I saw this interesting game that combines Super Meat Boy and Portal, Portal Mortal . It has even multiplayer! One man, one room, one purpose: Reach the exit. Complex simplicity in your hands! And what if you reach the exit, what then? It's up to you. Create new levels, modify exis...

Everyone hates changes

Hello. If you're reading this, then we have safely arrived to a even newer era of Curly's World. You might notice that the forum's web address seems to have shortened a bit but otherwise things look exactly the same. Imagine my surprise when I noticed last January that "curlysworld.com" wa...

Re: Speak it loud. Do you play old games anymore?

I believe I played the demo of Runaway if it is the game where little girl faces evil monster or clown during introduction. Never got past the scene, but it looked like an OK game. Very brokenswordish, traditional and all that. No, Runaway is these days a trilogy with a nerdy guy who meets this fem...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Sometimes this idea of mass-emailing everyone to tell them to come here and say hi comes to my mind but it hasn't gone further than that.

Maybe one day.

Re: It's coming - the book about Bitmap Brothers history

The Chaos Engine was pretty cool. However, I'm not quite sure how I feel about going through so "young" history. I recently watched the documentary Atari: Game Over where they dig out the "famous" E.T. cartridges from a landfill. It felt more like a tribute than a documentary, so...

Old mainframe games recovered

Probably one of the first text adventure games ever, Wander from 1974 was recently recovered among some other games from same period.

Kinda awesome.
