Re: Chance Of The Dead

It took me without a word of a lie, 8 years to beat Kings Quest 3. That's the kind of gaming frustration I yearn for in an adventure game.

Re: Legalisation of cannabis - are you for or against?

I do agree...when I was drunk my writing was definitely far more intense or creative, sober it was bland and emotionless. Drunk and angry I wrote the beginning to a novel that I can not finish now because the feeling is not there. But to the other side of that coin I recall a profound conversation o...

Re: Guess the/talk about TV series

I've been watching a Cinemax series called Banshee on HBO. I like it, basic rundown is a thief posing as a small town sheriff running the law his own way. Every episode usually has him beating someone to a pulp and breaking the law just to get things done...and at least one sex scene that my wife co...

Re: Legalisation of cannabis - are you for or against?

Drama isn't necessarily a bad thing, heck, it makes for great entertainment. Case in point, I read the original eMTe rant outloud, and my wife sat by nodding her head (although she may have been just rocking out to the music in her mind). I'll tell you what the bad thing is...it's the people that co...

I guess AGS Indiana Jones games are just the ones that seem like a good idea at the time...Just once I'd like to see one follow through to the end.

Re: History and cookies get deleted automatically.

Is it possibly getting re-imaged every night? Not an implausible concept. No way to get around that unless you take down the host... Which platform are you using, Windows? Which browser? IE 8 has a setting that you can set to remove all cookies and history when you close. Do you have a storage drive...

Re: What games are you playing currently

Turning Point Bought this for $4. Worth every cent and not a penny more. I had to dumb down the graphics in order to play it, my onboard apparently just does not have the power to drive the high quality graphics. Ah well...Next time I win the lottery maybe I'll invest in a slick new video card. But...

Re: Far Cry 3

First one wasn't bad, not great, just not terrible. I think I've been trying to play through it ever since I bought it (the year it was released), I just keep moving my save game file from computer to computer...actually that's kind of sad now that I see it in print...

Re: What games are you playing currently

They just released the 5 episodes as one game for xbox 360, although I was waiting for a review from someone I know before buying. Thanks for the input Scythe, and thanks to the extra hours I worked this week I might go pick it up next paycheque. :D

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

It's none of my business, but I think it would have been very reasonable (and polite) for you to have said something like you're not ready to have guests right now, but maybe another time. I agree. My best man used that excuse all the time after his cancer went into remission. Although he stopped g...
