Re: Speak it loud. Do you play old games anymore?

I just now realized that Igor - Objective How-is-anyone-supposed-to-remember is by Pendulo Studios, better known for Runaway series. Strangely, Igor is still probably their best adventure game.

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Thanks, I'm confident they're well prepared to take care of the games. Swizzle, the guy who maintains the PC games collection, was super cool and really happy to host the games.

I would've never accepted a solution where the games would have been lost to the time.

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Hmm... I changed things around so that the forum now lives on curlysworldoffreeware.com and www. and forum. should just redirect there. I did forget to change the cookie settings in phpbb3 so some people might have had login problems. Fun thing: forum.connect-webdesign.dk still works if you're that ...

Re: A new era

The Operation Deep-Six has been completed.

The main games site is no more, and it redirects to the forums now.

The games are available on the Internet Archive. We have our own "collection" there.

Where are the games? Look here.

You can download the games from Curly's World of Freeware Collection on the Internet Archive.

We do not host any downloads anymore. Go the Internet Archive to find your share of Classic PC Games.

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I hope people are able to access this site. It's so quiet I'm not entirely sure if it's just normal lurking or if I broke something. Anyways, I finally had time to prepare all the files and screenshots and whatnot for the Internet Archive guys. I'll let you know once CWF's awesome collection of the ...

OK, I sent an email to the maintainer of Internet Archive's PC Games collection. Let's see if we can donate our collection to them.

Re: A new era

Well, their collection consists of freeware, shareware and demos... and they ask copyright holders if anyone is interested in having their full game there. Wait, that sounds familiar... I probably should get in touch with the Internet Archive guys and ask if they're interested in our collection of D...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Yeah, that didn't do it. So I updated to phpBB 3.1. Which didn't do anything either, because no-one has gotten around to update any of the anti-spam tools to the new version. :Wallbang: (Also, why is New posts-link hidden under Quick Links?) So I made some new Q&A-questions that should be more b...

A new era

Hello. If you're reading this, then we have safely arrived to the new era of Curly's World of Freeware. You might notice that the forum's theme seems to have reverted to the phpBB default and things look a bit different. The forum software has been updated to the latest and greatest, phpBB 3.1 , whi...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I updated the phpBB 3.0 to the latest version, I hope that will slow down the spambot registrations. It's just insane the amount of spambot registrations this site gets per day.

The third one is forgettable. It basically happens in one place, so no feel of adventure.

Both the film makers and the audience have the same feeling, "let's just get over with this."

Those of us with some admin rights have been making periodical backups. The forums and the games should be safe. Yes, even the smilies. Yes, even most of the nostalgia forum.

Re: Interesting pictures, videos and flash animations

I'm pretty sure Fantasia is a bit older than that, actually. =)

What I was trying to mean was that the music is unless I'm mistaken from Da Vinci Code, but the original classical pieces fit the animation better as far as I recall. It's been decades since I last saw Fantasia, though.

Isn't that from the Da Vinci Code? I think the film was better with the original....
