Red Rogue

Developer's description: "You are Red, the widow of the hero from the original game of Rogue. Your dead husband has broke his way out of the Underworld and has lead you to the Chaos Dungeon to restore him from his undead status. Find the Balrog who killed him and take back the amulet of Yendor ...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Question: How far can you get? Answer: Not very far. Game is really hard. Just played for some minutes and I think I only got to platform 14 the best. It's quite difficult to calculate your jumps and the rotating platforms at the same time. And the time limit certainly doesn't help. But it's ...

Totally Tiny Arcade

Fun game (that reminds me of the classic "Lazy Jones" )! You have to through a number of arcades full of classic video games from the 80s before the time runs out. There are several secrets and bonuses to be found and unlock. Developer: Joe Lesko Download: http://totallytinyarcade.com/ Dow...

Re: What games are you playing currently

Little Inferno I'm not even sure that this is a real game. All you do is burn weird stuff in your fireplace, buy new stuff and burn that too. From time to time you get strange letters from your neighbour. Sounds lame, but in a strange way it is satisfying, relaxing and addictive. Maybe I have more ...

Re: What games are you playing currently

Constant C Completed the game and it is a very solid platform/puzzle game. Not super awesome, but fun to play. They put a lot of effort into the design, especially the animations and the soundtrack are great. There's also a nice little background story that is interesting enough to keep you playing...

Re: It's the middle of the night

Not sure if I can sleep. Rain finally stopped, but the flood is coming. Peak level of the rivers will be reached tonight and our town official said they are not sure that the dykes will hold. My house is not in danger (there's a little water in the cellar, but nothing dramatic), but it's a strange f...

Re: Cinema

Basically, this is what is the difference between US and European cinema. European movie sometimes begins well, but you also begin to yawn with each minute. US movie begins well or bad, but since they over in US already know that cinema is for evening fun and ONLY for evening fun they use the trick...

Re: Developing Ramblings

Tried MLG on easy for som minutes. In fact it was very easy in the first levels and then suddenly got impossible to beat (around level 10). Am I such a bad player or is there really such a heavy raise in difficulty?

Re: Cinema

Not sure if I need an extended version of this movie. In my eyes the European version already is a masterpiece the way it is. Besides this there seems to be a version that is sold in Italy on DVD and Blue-Ray. But it is only about 15 minutes longer (244 minutes) than the old version. http://www.movi...

Looks like another great game for boring nightshifts. Don't know how many hours I spent with "Doom. the Roguelike".

Re: Cinema

Sometimes I wonder if I'm strange or if the rest of the world is. My local cinema showed Zombies from Outer Space tonight, a sci-fi-zombie-folklore-trash movie in the style of the 50s. I was hyped when I just heard the title, but besides me only seven other people were there to watch this hilarious ...

Always nice to see you again, Chroelle. Hope there will be some time in the future when you have more time for CWF again. Maybe in some years when your daughters are grown-up, leave home or go to university...

Hi Dizi, nice to see you around!

And I think the danger of your appearance being the end is over. You have 667 posts now (still neighbour of the beast, but it seems we got away). ;)

Re: What games are you playing currently

KRUNCH There are games in which constant dying is part of the concept and the fun and the player doesn't feel frustrated, but challenged by it (e.g. "VVVVV", "Super Meat Boy" or "I Wanna Be That Guy"). Unfortunately this one isn't one of them. The level design is great...
