Re: The Philosophy Thread

Either you didn't get it, or you did, and I'll have to say "touché." And snow isn't cold. It's cold relative to something. Warm relative to something else. It's just sloppy speech, shorthand we've developed because saying everything in definitions takes forever and a day. "Having a co...

Re: Cinema

I read Life of Pi. I thought the book made a fair amount of sense. Can't say if the movie does, but at least the book can be reread with the twist in mind. Looking at the trailer, they definitely focused on making it visual, and I see a LOT of stuff that wasn't in the book, so yeah... there's a good...

Re: Cinema

I forgot to add a smiley to show how sincere I was. Anyway, I stay in touch with all that, I just like being contrary. If people praise something, my gut reaction is to hate it. Of course I often find reasons to hate it when I eventually do watch one of those movies. I'm still going to watch Cloud A...

Re: Cinema

You just have the same reaction that I do when certain people praise movies. There are a number of movies that I've yet to watch based on this alone. I'll never know if I'm missing out. :)

Re: Cinema

I just came back from Cloud Atlas and I am STOKED! I can't believe we had to wait almost half a year to get this to Denmark. This movie has almost everything that would make it a movie I'd hate. But, but, but.... I FREAKING LOVED IT! If only every movie that came out of the big budget Hollywood Mach...

Re: What games are you playing currently

Regardless of Diablo's non-RPG status, I do believe that the only game out of that list that I haven't actually completed is Wasteland. BaK completed twice, I believe. Albion I have completed 3-4 times.... Right now, I'm playing through Corpse Party: Book of Shadows on the PSP, which is a highly unp...

Well, I've worked with beetles and spiders. I guess I'm not a friend of beetles when I tear their wings off and suck out their "blood." In the name of science of course.

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I'm good with all animals. Animals sometimes like me so much they chew on me for extended periods of time. I calmed down a bear once by talking soothingly to it. Or maybe it was a really big dog, I'm not sure. I once petted a lion. Though it might have been tranquilized and toothless. Stray cats fol...
