Re: What games are you playing currently
The two games I've been playing most over the past couple of months have been: 1. Heroes of Might and Magic 2 -- I went a little wild over Xmas buying games I already own in DVD format digitally on GOG.com and started playing the Heroes games again. Still as addictive as ever. 2. Mount and Blade War...

Re: New adventure games
Has anyone else played J.B. Harold's Murder Club? It's an old PC game, but I thought it was terrific playing it a few months ago.

Re: Browser choice.
I tend to stick with Firefox but it sometimes gets clogged up and becomes very slow. I should switch to chrome, but am too used to FF.

Who will win the console war?
For the first time since the old days of SNES vs. Megadrive, the console market is something of an open market. With Sony seemingly misfiring all around like an American helicopter, Microsoft enjoying steady sales and output, and Nintendo storming back into contention with an audaciously innovative ...

Chroelle, I replaced the borders and backdrops in the sections:

It used to have different backgrounds and photos of people down the left and right sides.

Someone help me out!
Hi all. As you probably all know, my site ( here ) has always attracted negative attention for my awful webdesign. I thought I'd finally sort this out now (2 years after the site first went up). Basically all of the pages of the site are based on the same template. Basically I make a table and put a...

Rant:3D Graphics are Eroding the Imaginative Aspect of Games
I have been musing of late. Here I am sat in a room with an XBox 360 and a Nintendo Wii with, when you include Gamecube and original XBox games, over 20 games for them, I also have, here to my left on my shelf, about 100 PC Games. So why last night did I spend 5 hours, with a notepad and a pen ready...

Big themed manuals and incredible detail: things of the past
What has happened to the gaming world where a Colonization 2 or an Alpha Centuri 2 seems to be almost totally inconceivable and yet at the end of last year we got: Heroes of Might and Magic FIVE, Space Empires FIVE and Caeser FOUR - all totally pointless releases, all featuring in some shape or form...

The original manual, should explain most of the concepts.
To be honest, I'd play the original - I find FreeCol too streamlined, sucks the life out of the game.

Chroelle, I'm glad you followed the lead, it's one of my fave games as you know. I've lost a fair few hour to that game and I think I have a quite nuanced knowledge of the game, which you need to develop for yourself with small niche titles like this because the community just doeasn't exist. I'll g...

RE: CWF Awards
About the awards: since there is little activity there, I figured it would be best to make these first awards a "rolling awards" - the polls will not be posted until 28th Februray 2007 roughly mirroring the start date of CWF itself.
Also - Happy Birthday Elgado.

Life time achievment award???? I think my main problem is Parvini, your making out like this is a replacment OG...again. I'm not doing that at all, I was just basing the structure of the awards on the OG awards from last year as a starting point . Just for the record, I don't think this is a replac...

I've been talking to Chroelle about doing a 2006 CWF awards. These are going to based on the 2005 OG Awards (which I'm not continuing this year, for reasons we all know). Anyway, I'm looking to see what awards people would like to see. Currently I'd got the following, based on applicable old OG awar...
