Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Something that might interest Jayenkai: I was playing the Platdude variant of your game, Arcade Slots, on my phone the other day and hit the "Jackpot" and got a new high score of 6180! (My previous high score was 5830 if my post from five years ago is to be believed. :) I admit I haven't v...

Re: Changes. Changes never change.

Erm... well, that's cool and all, but I did say a Discord server for the OG crew, not the Curly's World crew. What do you think of changing the name and logo accordingly?

Re: Changes. Changes never change.

I just happen to still have it in my bookmarks and look at it from time to time. :)

I've been thinking of starting a Discord server and seeing if I can get as many people as I can from the old OG crew to join. It's just a matter of overcoming my own inertia. :P

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

That's a nice collection in the "Shoebox of games," Jayenkai. :) I'm sorry to hear that your family isn't more supportive of your hobby. :( For the record, I'd be honoured to receive a Santa-Plat card. :D Regarding making physical games, my older brother recently made a physical card game ...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Oh wow! I just logged in to make a Merry Christmas post and discovered that the last time I posted on this forum was exactly a year ago, the last time I made a Merry Christmas post! :o Well, anyway... Merry Christmas, everyone! :D (If there's anyone left here) :P Glad to hear you had a fun trip, Zyx...

Re: Why are you happy today?

Thought today might be a good day to bring this thread back. :) (Especially in light of Jayenkai's remark that things were getting too miserable in the other thread) :P Merry Christmas, everyone! :D Later today, I'll be going to my parents' place for a family dinner and I'll get to see my brother an...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

eMTe, sorry if I was too presumptuous in saying that you don't experience real life hate... To be honest, I don't really experience anything like that, myself; I have a pretty privileged life. If I ever seem outraged by social justice issues that I read about on the internet, it's because in recent ...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Enough of the hatred and horrifying tales. Lets all play games, have fun and enjoy life before it all gets sucked into a terrifying pit of misery and torment. Okay, hmm... happy things... Well, last week, I performed in a Christmas concert with my barbershop group and I got a solo bit where I did t...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Huh, I think I want to see that movie now. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be on Netflix... I'll have to check the library. And yeah, I think it's normal for different people to think differently. Speaking for myself, I've had occasion to wonder if I'm somewhere on the autistic spectrum. I've known for a ...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I stopped trying to understand eMTe's posts a long time ago. :P Also, hi RWM! (And anyone else who still lurks around here) How are you doing these days? As for myself, I find myself having a lot of time off lately, because I left my job at Wal-Mart. Being unemployed is somewhat troubling, but I nee...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

As Zyx says, what's really changed the internet is that it's available to the masses now. There was a time when only the most technically-minded and/or "nerdy" people would use it, but now, smartphones are so cheap to build and acquire that even the poorest people (even homeless people) ca...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

I just realized that I never replied to this and ate the last of the borscht that I made yesterday! :o Oops! I'll have to take a picture of borscht another time, I guess. :) For the record, I didn't put sour cream in it, even though my grandmother's original recipe called for it. I don't keep cream ...

Yay! Awesome! Thanks! :D Thank you to you, Dizi, and also to Zyx. You are too kind. :)

I have to admit that I haven't heard of most of the games on the list, but there are some pretty interesting ones in there. Can't wait to check them out. :)

Hey Dizi, if they're still up for grabs, I'm interested in Event[0], Day of the Tentacle, and the other copy of Stardew Valley.

(I recognize that Stardew Valley may take over my life; I accept this risk) :D

I got Sia's album the other day and this song has been running through my head today. The CD is full of dark and sad music, but also beautiful.

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Sorry to hear about the nightmares. :( *Hugs* Well... if you can't write, maybe you can channel it into other creative means? Like music? Or building some kind of monstrosity in Minecraft? :D (or similar building game?) As for food, I just made some borscht the other day and I daresay that it came o...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Randolph puzzle - who is the author of the above section? I cheated and used Google to look it up. :P It doesn't surprise me that HP Lovecraft would write something like that, considering that he's best known for writing about fictional creatures so horrible, that the mere concept of their existenc...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside

Regarding the Die Hard movies, I have seen them and I don't think there's anything about them that particularly ties to your situation, RWM, except that bad stuff keeps happening to McClane, which could be said about the hero of any action hero franchise, really. Still, they (mostly) make pretty goo...
